I didn't know Pete lived in the UK. Then I would certainly have to agree with DLP. Still not sure I would recommend DL over WDW though. I think to travel that far you would have to want to see California in addition to seeing DL. Even seeing it THOROUGHLY, DL is not good for more than 5 days (in my opinion).

The Disney park experience just isn't the same without the Showcase and Illuminations in the evening.<<

Sad thing is, I have been to EPCOT, and I much prefer Europa Park which is similiar to EPCOT. They have better shows, better rides, and more entertainment than EPCOT center, between DLP and Europa Park, Europe has vastly superior parks than anything WDW has to offer.

Eventually, people will wake up to this fact and Disney is going to be hurting big time....

Right now in the UK, Disney is offering 14 days for the price of 7, with free dining for all 14 days, they are really trying to get the Brits to visit in the worst way....

Until WDW shows substantial improvement, DLP and other European theme parks will get my hard earned money.

DisneyLand Resort is a great little park because it was the park that Walt built, and it has, what is still remaining, Walts touches to make the guests vist "Magical"

WaltDisneyWorld had no size limitation and they blueprinted it after DisneyLand.
The size and additional attractions made WaltDisneyWorld a great park and because they were still using Walts plans, the Magic still existed.

Both parks can be considered crown jewels by either side of the country because, in their own ways, they are just that.

Since we lost WaltDisney and his touches, the parks just aren't like the origninal DisneyLand when Walt was here.

And as time goes on, we will continue to see changes and less of the magic built into the attractions because (1) Walt is not here to make sure it is put in and (2) the WaltDisneyCompany "TIES" do not look at the resorts the same way that Walt did.

Walt saw a park full of happiness and magic

The WaltDisneyCompany sees only dollar signs.

The later has affected the way they design and build attractions, sadly.

Without someone to monitor the drivers of the busses more often, they are left to drive as they please and safety is sacrificed. Employees are pushed to work harder and longer and with less supervision and may deviate from the script.
