Two years ago I found some diet pills that worked great, I lost 35 pounds in 6 months. Then I developed numbness in my right hand and foot 24/7. The dr said it was neuropathy and to keep the apendages warm. In July & August, they were still numb. Since going off the pills, I've gained back 8-10 pounds. But people noticing and commenting on my weight loss was great for my morale and gave me what I needed to continue losing. I'm still trying to lose, and I've gotten some willpower.

That's a start my Son. jonvn has raised some very interesting points about the success rate of diets. Like my Buddy the Monk use to say " the ox is slow. but the Earth is patient and always remember the Glory is in the journey, not the arrival". I never could figure out what the heck he was talking about.

My wife feels the same way as you do about Coke Zero, that's why she only drinks Diet Pepsi. I don't drink Soda Water very often, and when I do I really prefer Dr Pepper. A good down home brew!

I am going to follow all of the above advice.
Originally Posted By jonvn "it sounds like you had a minor stroke or a TIA as a result of the diet pills." Depends on what the pills were. But it might be. The doc said it was neuropathy, though, not a stroke.

Walking helps. What's TIA? Temporarily Insane Activity?

Nonsense. People sit in traffic for 2 hrs per day but can't give 10 minutes for their health? I guess next you might tell us those who don't go to work but sit on the couch all day and expect gov't handouts is due to some unexplained biological correlation. In other words it's not their fault and they are not lazy. It's all about motivation and personal drive. If I offered $1,000 per day to anyone who would sweat like a pig and get their heart rate moving for 10 minutes how many would fail this regimen? Don't even say 96%.
