So they clean it once a year, whether it needs it or not? :)

Regarding sound issues, I'm old enough to remember when the soundtracks were played from looping analog tapes. The quality of the tapes would degrade just a bit for each playing, so that after many months in service, there was a decidetly "mushy" sound to everything in the Mansion (and POTC and other classic rides for that matter). One of the things done during the annual rehab was to replace the tapes with new copies from the master, making the sound so much more crisp as an attraction came off rehab. Now that everything is digital, this is no longer an issue (although sound issues relating to equipment, rather than the recordings, continue as mentioned by others above}.

I would absolutely love a merch. store for the HM. This is probably my favorite ride at MK and I would like to be able to take a little bit of the magic home with me.

Also, I'm VERY against Eddie Murphy showing up! lol

And, if the shop is HM-specific merch, BRING IT ON, BABY!!!!

Maybe they should cut the carpet up and sell parts of it as throw rugs. LOL

And since everyone is mentioning something in the HM they wouldlike to take home-- the main reason I got the tapestries was I hae always said I wanted the railing with the bats on it ( right before entry to buggies) - and when I say the copy of those on the tapestry rods-- I was sold !

Unfortunately the clip was cut at 2 minutes or else you would have seen the "item" again at unload and then in front of the HM
