Ann- I was hoping for another classic Hawks- Wings series down the line... Wings my fave to take it -- now Hockey town USA could use it -- solid fans who know their game and a team that plays the game right

Amazing how only one guy, Bolland, gets back into the Series he negates two players, the Sedin Sisters. Don't think that wasn't noticed by everybody else. I'm proud of the Blackhawks' effort this year. Time for them to get some much needed rest after hardly an offseason last year, and come back this Fall.

The loss of Crosby, Malkin, and Cooke really hurt them this season and was even more apparent during the series with Tampa. Congrats to the Lightning for playing so well in such a hard fought series. They truly earned their victory. At least now I can concentrate more on summer activities!

PK has been a Great player all year, but has also been known to be a player not liked by most teams for his tactics on the ice...in a reg game he could have been in the box for that move, if it was the second time in this game, he should go in the box.... Vancouver met up with a very solid keeper in game 7 ...HE CAME UP BIG FOR THE HAWKS ALL NIGHT LONG...the officials let the teams play as they did in game 1 and 2 and we were treated to a game of sheer excitement..although Vancouver took it more to the Hawks, each time the hawks had the puck they were dangerous..the penalty given the Hawks in the last few moments in my opinion was not there, although afterwards the Hawks soon forgot about it when Towes made that dramatic dive towards the puck to knock it past Luongo...The penalty in OT was the correct call, Burrows made another critical error...had the call not been made and Kessler scored on the give away due to the holding call..and the goal was allowed, that surely would have tainted the whole outcome..In OT Luongo who had a very solid game himself made a terrific save on the power play then..A quick thinking play by burrows sparked the opportunity to break in towards the Hawk net...and a shot that had eyes found the net.... VBDAD I read your comments and I will say this...My views are my own , I do not believe the Vancouver Canucks did not deserve the penalty's they received.however.I do believe that.certainaly not all of them were penalty's...What I do believe ,and this has nothing to do with Chicago...is that the officials chose to ignore infractions committed by chicago in a more excessive manner...This vision is something that has been recognized by Campbell and although he will not speak of it...you may not see some of these officials in the later rounds..a friend of mine who was a Referee in the NHL and is involved to a degree today...and who is highly respected ..whom I spoke with after the Canuck series agrees..that not only in this highly contencious series but in all of the play off series to date this year ...except the Detroit series which had only one real issue, there has been some very serious concerns...from many of the teams , not just Vancouver .Officiating is not easy but when the four officials do not work as a team. then problems arise....it is finding the four that work best together, so you may see that the movement of officials may be quite different than round one...then again the NHL is the NHL and who really knows what Campbell is going to do... I would rather play Hockey with you vbdad than against you..as I am a better coach than a player...smart enough to know that much anyway... Bruins have a score to settle with Philly Capitals do not want to allow Tampa to take this away, they are just too tough and well rested... San Jose has to have Thorton going..he is the key...Could be last shot wins in this series...Detroit has many weapons but once a few fail, the rest seem to follow , Frazen is the key....he is dynamite...the wings do not want a repeat from last year going out in 5.. Vancouver on paper should prevail, but we all know how thin paper is, if they can get the cycle game going and the hitting stays in tune..for 60 minutes each game , they could finish in 5 but i doubt that ,Preds hit very well them selves. survival of the fittest, Barry Troxt is an excellent coach, I like him a lot, very ,very smart...so expect a long series....if both teams bring their games to the arena's...who knows...we can only give it our best guess, the players have to play the game...
