This is off topic but interesting. A new study shows that most people with alzheimers have Prions present. These are the same proteins that cause mad-cow disease and they think there may be a possible link. I'm trying to get more info. Sorry for the interuption.

    Quick recap:

-The butterfly garden behind Acadian House is gone, bobbelee! I looked for it and even asked at the front desk, and they said it's no longer there.

-The parks were moderately crowded, but were manageable on the whole.

-The parks were very clean. I kept my eyes open and only saw trash on the ground in the Kilimanjaro Safaris queue, due in part to the disgusting woman in front of me who threw her used kleenex on the floor when there was a trash can less than three feet in front of her. Disgusting.

-We didn't get to ride Toy Story Mania because the line was never shorter than 60 minutes (often 120 minutes) and FastPasses were always distributed by 9:00 am. There was a queue for the FastPasses the last day we were there!

-There were far too many 6-9 year olds in strollers - it was ridiculous. Also, those enormous fold-up strollers need to be banned from Disney transportation, especially when I saw some jerk put his enormous stroller IN A SEAT on a full bus.

-On that same bus ride, a woman was removed from the bus when she became abusive to the driver after she entered the bus with her stroller open and her child still strapped in. He told her she had to remove the child and close the stroller, and she went off on him. Another guest on the bus said they were behind her when she tried to enter Epcot that day and she had problems with her ticket and went off there, too. What happens to people when they're removed from a bus - do they go to Disney jail? :)

-The CMs were very accommodating, especially the bus drivers. We rented a wheelchair for my mother for the entire trip and all but one CM went out of his or her way to make sure she was comfortable. One forgot to strap her in properly and the chair began moving around as the bus traveled, causing myself and other guests to hold her in place so she wouldn't go anywhere. When I told the CM, she simply said, "My bad - she wouldn't have gone far." Needless to say, she was reported immediately.

-All of our meals at WDW were excellent, though Brown Derby is a little to expensive for my taste. Besides Brown Derby, we ate at the Plaza, Mexico, and France. The lines to check in at the hostess stands at France and Mexico were ridiculous, but all of our meals (including table service meals) were very good to excellent.

-The housekeeping at POR was phenomenal. Our room was spotless every day.

    On one final note...

    -DELTA AIRLINES IS EVIL!

    Any questions about anything specific?

I am sorry to hear about the grumpy tourists, but it sounds like the bus driver did the right thing by removing her.
Glad you had a magical Disney vacation. :)

Ooooh, this went beyond grump. She stood there for five minutes and made a scene in front of the the whole bus. She kept screaming at him and demanding he show her how she was supposed to close the stroller with one hand (I could've showed her, for crying out loud - I don't have any kids and I can hold a baby and close a stroller with one hand, since I did it several times with my niece when she was little). It was just ugly.

Sorry, didn't mean for this to come off sounding snotty or like I'm an expert. But those things are made now so you can close them with one hand.

I was drafted as the official photographer and took their pictures.

My grandson (5) got asked to pilot the boat on JC. And at 1900, Cindy asked him to dance with her. We were asked if we'd like to ride in the front of the monorail. Great memories, and no extra cost to Disney.

What did they do to you? I'm curious, because I've hated them for many years, and it's always nice to find someone else who feels the same way. I had started to like Northwest over the last couple years, but now that they are becoming part of Delta, they've really gotten a lot worse. Their website just caused my Internet Explorer to completely freeze up, not once, not twice, but 5 seperate times (closing all the windows, and starting the whole process over again) before I finally gave up. I'd like to book a flight using my travel voucher I got for being bumped last summer, but I'm really starting to reconsider. The flights are through Atlanta, so there's a good chance that they're actually Delta flights, and I'm just not sure if it's worth it to me to save the money to have my trip to Disney World all messed up by them, as so many of my other trips have been.

But then Delta doesn't have meals or movies anymore either.

Really? Since when? I thought they were actually improving their service of late.

I flew them to LA last fall (in coach) and on two of the flights I had 767s with LIVE TV and food for purchase that was very, very good.

I don't fly Delta more than once or twice a year for the most part, but I've never had a less than plesant experience with them.
