As someone whose career is in a state of flux myself (hey, so what if I had to go to China to make a fair and decent wage?) I can appreciate the jittery feelings that come with a lack of stability in the workplace (if it makes you feel any better, a vast majority of Americans feel that on any given day now!) I know it isn't fair, but that's the way it has been, and the way it will continue to be .

This is not a condemnation dave by any means, you have to do what's right for you and your's. This is a condemnation of a system that makes it nearly impossible to protect some of our most vulnerable citizens. Unfortunately I see these kids "after" the system has failed. The same stress you are discribing has driven some very qualified health care providers out of the ER after seeing all to many injured, sometimes to point of death. Take care of yourself and hope the future brings you fullfillment. Nikki thank you for working on the "front lines". Schools anymore are not just the "front line" but all to often the "battle line" as well. Stay safe. This is really a bummer. I think it would do everyone good if WDW would fight this woman and win. It would give a glimmer of hope that maybe the more serious ills of the world can be made better. Take care all.

I tried but really couldn't remember the last time I paid <$2.00/gal.>> Hell, I still remember filling up for 89 cents a gallon in November of 2001 right across from TDA at Jin Kwik's Shell station (I am sure our Anaheim brood here knows exactly what station I am speaking of). Gas is going for under $1.50 on the open market. Funny how the price decreases never seem to happen as quickly as the increases do.
Originally Posted By MPierce >> Funny how the price decreases never seem to happen as quickly as the increases do. << I managed to inherit some royalties so I can tell you the reason for that. Each, and every oil, and gas company is a crook. When prices are low they pump the most. When prices go high they pump smaller amounts. They sell off their reserve to sister companies when prices or low to sell at peak price. Complete unadulterated legal thievery. I couldn't even tell you how much money I've received in class action lawsuits against different companies for failure to pay royalty owners the correct amount. I know the lawyers made a killing of nearly 60 million dollars on the last one. My share was around fifteen hundred dollars. It's really hard to keep track of it too They trade royalty holdings back, and forth like marbles. Anadorko holds my royalties for the time being. So far they haven't been caught cheating us yet. I think the ridiculous profits tell the story. Alternative fuels will help in addition to use, and proper management, of our own natural resources. Also Government does need to make a consorted effort in guaranteeing fair, and competitve prices. So far they have failed miserably on that at every level. Talk about side tracking a thread! WOW!!!

I was sorta kidding before but not entirely. Of course I do remember things from long ago, go figure. I filled up my '55 Chevy when I was 16 for $.30/gal. Now don't worry I'm not going to tell you I walked 2mls to/from school in 2ft of snow up hill both ways. I'm not quite that old(yet). Anyway I am enjoying leaving less of my hard earns $ @ the pump.

First of all, I NEVER demanded to be put first in line, thats absurred! Secondly, I NEVER asked Disney for that guest assistance card, they offered it to me. I NEVER abused the privilige that Disney gave to me, because it was just THAT, A PRIVILIGE! Besides, how can you DEMAND to be put at the front of the line, the walker brings you up a seperate entrance and has to clear it with the bellhop as to if you can be placed on the ride in the first place!! How is it wrong of me, if the bellhops are constantly looking for single travelers and I happen to be there? The REAL line hoppers are those ppl that get pulled from the line 10 to 15 ppl back, just in order to fill those seats!!! I NEVER used profanity in the park towards ANY cast member, that was just their way of not having to deal with me because I told them I was going to contact the Vice President of Walt Disney World with regards to how they were treating me, it was RIGHT after that and I was ejected from the park!! I find that to be a little strange on Disney's part. Even the Orange County Sherf. Dept. officer said I was not using profanity, and believe me, for as much as he was hurting me, I would of been entitled to do so, but NEVER did!! Also ppl, I do not ride that ride because of a back injury or back problems, that ride saves me from having multipule surgeries on my insides. The adhesions are attatched to several of my vitl organs. Please see my web site at www.gimppysplace.freeservers.com to see and learn a little bit about just what it is I suffer from, I mean if your going to judge me, perhaps you should know ALL the facts first! I am not the only woman who suffers from this silent killer, myself along with hundreds of other women suffer from this, so feel free to visit www.adhesions.org. Why should I let this kill me? Afterall I am a single mother, I do have a son to think about as well. As for Disney being liable for me, I'd gladly sign ANY waiver releasing them of liability, I have full coverage health insurance, Disney would NEVER have to be responsable for me EVER! This whole thing started because they revoked the GAC card for NO reason, and when I tried to find out why, I was ejected! Personally, until you deal with a life threatening situation, and you happen to find something that can ACTUALLY help you, what would you do? Lay there and wait to be so ravaged with pain and hope that you die quickly so your family doesn't have to watch you suffer? Or ride a ride that ACTUALLY can help prolong your life?? I chose the ride, thank you very much! Don't forget, I also PAY for that Anual pass every year, I NEVER asked Disney for anything free. All I was trying to do, was find out why the card was revoked and what did I have to do to get it reinstated! But instead it has turned into a really big ugly mess. I wish you all a happy healthy life.

The risks of riding the ride a far less then the risks of being operated on over and over again. I just had to hve surgery #22 6 days ago, but if I had been riding the ride, this surgery would not of had to happen for at least a year. I have been doing this at Disney WITH their knowledge for almost 4 years now, so why now is it all of a sudden a problem?? It's easy for ppl to judge and make comments that are not so nice, mostly because they do not have a clue what the person deals with daily! But I'm willing to bet that if someone had a life threatening illness, they'd do whatever it would take to make themselves better. Also, if Disney would of just responded to me or my lawyer, there never would of been a law suit in the first place. But they have YET to respond. So who is hiding from the truth here?? I wonder Have a good night ppl
