I had read comments from people criticizing it early on, but the ride was shorter and more "Santa's Village"-like than even I expected it would be. I think the overly brief length of the attraction (meaning the track) bothered me the most. But what really got to me as I was riding it was the vague sense I was in a slightly spiffed-up non-Disney park, perhaps a place run by the owners of Sea World or the Hershey park in Pennsylvania. The Chew Chew Train attraction wouldn't have been as underwhelming, or its overly modest ambitions wouldn't have been as noticeable, if it were surrounded by an otherwise much better park than DCA.

As for you, dizkid, you're quite easy to accept--not that you really needed the acceptance of a certain coven of witches from Morva in order to prove anything. We're just glad to hear what things you enjoy about the various Disney parks. And that goes for all the other ducklings around here.

It's similar in the fact that they are both spinner rides, but you don't have any control in Flik's Flyers. I would say it more closely resembles the Orange Stinger, except you ride in a box with benches facing each other instead of in a swing. The motion of the ride, however, is very similar to a standard swinger.

Nothing special, but the kids in our pretty thought they were entertaining enough. Heimlich's Chew Chew Train is probably the best of the rides in there, but I have a feeling that when my kid is too old for this part of DCA, I may not ever venture in there again.

It makes a simple loop that is entirely visible from outside the ride. I saw the cutsy theming .. and then walked away. NEXT............
