NOT how I want to see Asians represented on TV. LOL. I still don't get why the white girls have it out for Waffle House cook Julia. So what that she doesn't know all the ingredients or fancy-pants dishes? She seems to be able to cook, and she led them to a vicotory in the reward challenge. Talk about ingrateful! I just knew trash-talking Joanna wasn't going to last on this show. Once she opened her mouth in the first episode saying how she would do anything to make the other contestants look bad, that was it.

I started my business never having done it before... I'm pokin' yer eyes out. I know what you mean. The people on 'Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares' seem to be caught up in the romance of 'owning my own restaurant' and have no idea of the reality of running a small business.

She should be gone. She'd need a personality transplant to be able to run anything! The poor men! I just hope pasta trash girl doesn't slither through. I'd be afraid of what I was eating in her restaurant.

Of course, everyone who has watched it with me actually finds it very entertaining too even though they never in a million years thought they would (and probably would not admit it to anyone else)! (DH is even a fan now.) You mighta had me going if I'd seen your answer right away! lol

Plus I am sure the Green Valley Ranch has some say in it, and I don't think they would want to risk having a chef with zero professional kitchen experience.

As for Kitchen Nightmares, I've caught some of the BBC shows and the dynamic is different from HK because these restaurant owners can be incredibly bullheaded, even as they are driving their businesses into the ground. Should be interesting to see how the American version plays out.

The only reason I'm glad he won is for his family - I'd move to LV for a quarter million a year salary! I think Julia can be forgiven for her behavior remembering how Bonnie treated her and talked about her throughout the show. When is came to Julia, Bonnie had a very superior (and undeservedly so in my opinion) and nasty manner, treated her like a worthless underling. I even think Julia may not have answered her because she had trained herself to tune out her shrill b****y voice so she could work. I'd hire Julia in a minute. As far as the resort preferring Rock, I laughed in the episode where the people from the resort voted Bonnie's dish over Rock's - Gordon had reminded the 2 men, when their vote was split, that they would be spending a lot of time with the winner and I said to my DH I bet they'd choose Bonnie - I mean, she was cute and flirty - and they did!
