It's always cool when Obama tap dances around promises; but never cool when McCain does.

    Gotcha Mr. Bojangles.

    Yup..that wasn't cool.

And like I said, Obama never promised anything here. McCain certainly and publicly did.

Now, I havent seen the link or heard the entire answer, just that quote you gave (my internet is on 'slow' again at the moment so opening up Youtube will take to long---gotta love slow Australian connections :(). Anyway, I will look at the whole thing later and maybe change my mind, but he is definitely pussyfootin around this issue!

But McCain should simply be ashamed. He is litterally trying to destroy a mans credibility and reputation when just a few months ago all of that was 'deplorable', now its fair game all of a sudden?? I have a feeling if it was McCain who was 10 points ahead, looking into Obama's past and his associates wouldnt be an issue. Again, the McCain campaign has been nothing but one transperancy gaffe after another. I mean his entire playbook thus far screams, 'I NEED TO WIN VOTES AT ALL COSTS!'

Not sure how many votes he's winning, but certainly know what he's losing in all of this.

    So, there you have it.

He never made any promises, he simply said he would pursue an agreement. Perhaps he did, perhaps he didn't..we'll never know (and we certainly can't trust McCain's word on it, now can we).

we can't trust McCain to explain, but we can swallow this explanation ?

I'll tell you what he did break - the promise of 'change'. He blew hot air over this topic for quite a while, and then promised to puruse this to make it happen...he didn't follow through - tell me how that is a change in Washington ?
    It's like voting present.

And if he felt free to break a promise that would have been so easy to carry out, can you really trust what he says about anything? Of course liberals have always been great at situational ethics.

They've already started that. Cindy McCain started that back up again, followed quickly by Rudy Guilianni and Rush Limbaugh. It was all because of a new book on Cindy McCain that mentioned prescription drug use. She was upset about that being mentioned and then brought up Obama's past drug use.
