I am just not all that concerned about it. I have 2 daughters and still don't concider it a big deal. The screnner is in no position to deal with my kids in any capacity other than look at a 20 sec blurry image. If I were too upset over this concept the kids would NEVER go to a doctor.

i think as a whole we need to grow up, deal with reality, and stop wallowing in our own self pity.

I'm sure that's the argument in the UK. But I don't think it's true. What about weapons they find via the metal detector? There's no "printout." Same is true with a pat-down. Any questionable item found with the new scanning machines is going to be investigated using the same methods that they've always used. No printer is necessary.

You seem to be jumping to conclusions about airport screeners.

Then some guy decides to put explosives in his Gatorade and now there are restrictions and what liquids can be taken through security. Before 911 there were cases of people trying to bring explosives on planes and those people were dealt with but those of us just going about our business were not inconvenienced overly much because of their actions. Since 911 there has not been a huge rush of people trying to blow up planes and yet, instead of just dealing with them and the screeners that failed to catch them like before, the rest of us have to show up at the airport two hours early just to make it through security lines.

    It has to end somewhere.

I can see your point, but i would much rather take off my shoes and not have bottled water then have my or anybody elses plane bombed.

As to the whole showing up 2 hrs early thats not required. A few months ago i showed up less then an hour early. On the way back from l.a we were running really late due to traffic so We got there with 10mins to spare and the lady even told us we could go grab a coffee lol.
