Everything will be going fine and then all of a sudden, they'll decide on a spur of the moment to remodel the tank. They'll uproot everything and dig themselves a bunch of burrows. The eel just hides under his rock and stays out of the way. He'll only come out if you have worms for him to eat.

He is a Kathe Kruse Teddy Bear and he looks just like the bear in this picture: http://www.debrasdolls.com/dol ls/graphics/KKruse/miniLambBear.sept05.jpg Ben is easy to take care of and he talks to me all the time. My wife worries about me a bit because she can't hear Ben talk like I can. I know I'm OK though because Ben answers me when I talk to him, so it can't be my imagination. My wife just doesn't listen closely enough. Ben sits on my side of the dresser in our bedroom, and I say goodnight to him every night just before I crawl into bed. Ben really loves me. I know he does.

Well, I can't remember who all received a gift of a gerbil, but, anyway, somehow, (gerbils weren't not my department, was Mr. Trails) our regular very own gerbils got loose in our basement. Now, how they got TO the basement, I do not know. We could not find them. It must have been like Gerbil Heaven to them in our basement. One big huge gerbil cage. They made it for several weeks. Mr. Trails, or my son and daughter never really tried very hard to find them. I think word got out in the gerbil world that if you came to our house, we had the most wonderful accommodations. I didn't make it to the basement for months.
