(Not deluded enough to think we look like sisters in person ;-) Thanks Shiva and Nut! Nutty, you can try the .mac on a 60-day trial. I haven't paid up yet, but I can tell I will - it's pretty convincing. iDisk seems pretty fantastic for getting files to/from clients, and the iPhoto/publish to web is uber cool. Of course you already have the peeaanuut gallery!

I made a website in it this weekend. While it doesnt do everything that I like to do, it does alot of things well and I dont have to use it with .mac so that is a bonus. I also got to work with iMovie this weekend and make my own little clip from a babyshower/kegger we had. Was kind of fun but I am finding quickly I need more ram. So off to the shop the mini goes for a non warranty breaking upgrade. lol

Tho I think I'm just gonna wait, as it's this particular job that's a RAM-eater... others may not be so bad. I have 4 gigs and am not happy yet, LOL...
Originally Posted By peeaanuut you do quite a bit more work in heavy graphics than I do. I only have 1 gig of ram. I cna do it myself which wont break warranty but if I do anything wrong that will. lol That template is in iWeb and than I just exported to a folder. I usually like to work in code, but I am moving away from that because it just takes too darn long. This drag and drop stuff is pretty nice and looking at the code that iWeb puts out it isnt ugly or contain much extra stuff like frontpage or some other WYSIWYG editors do.

I had a friend a while back who waffled about picking up a mac mini or an iMac because he wasn't sure if he'd like it. He waffled for a while and ended up getting the 17" iMac. Two weeks later he was kicking himself for not getting the 20". As you say, "next time".

Now I still think that some macs are a bit overpriced, however, most people do not need more than a mini can provide so i consider that their saving grace.
