I was never a big fan of the sport, but me and my friends always had big tournaments playing NHL 94 on the Sega Genesis.

And Hockey is responsible for the greatest moment in US sports history, of course I speak of the 1980's Olympics. I still bawl like a baby when I see the game.

No it was the Dominic Hasik, He had just come into the league and wasnt known at that time.

    >>Regarding the left wing lock(trap): It IS used by teams using the neutral zone trap and in most instances is considered part in part of the same strategem

Some of the stuff in that article is wrong, If you want I can get into it a little in few days, i have a bum wrist right now and cant type.
It came from the europeans who have used it for a long time, And Bomans ast coach Barry Smith who spent alot of time in euorpe learnig it from back when they were with the Pens, was who brought it to the Wings.
I had studied it alot when i was coaching high school hockey casue i was gonna try to use it.

Saw a shootout last night in the Toraonto - Sens game, very exciting.

    Lindros sucks. :)

I'd have to agree. But I guess he's happy now that he's in Toronto close to his mom and dad.

He wanted to know how is it they have struggled to find 1 decent goalie now.<

always a heritage of good goalkeeprs -- however old man Wirtz refused to pay Hasek more than backup money -- and Belfour ( like Roenick) was too outspoken for Pulford. What a mess the front office is for 25 years. And remember these goalies were on the heels of Tony Esposito ( and Murray Bannerman - who is actually a neighbor of mine now ) -

So far Khalibukin has been far less than impressive

Dale Tallon trying to change this as they now put 2,000 tickets on sale each game for $20 - yes in the nosebleed section but this has to kill Wirtz. Of course he'll just raise beer prices again so that it can be $9 / beer - LOL !

They had a captive audience for years - but that fan base has dwindled -- and even lost some people permanently to the Wolves....

    1. NFL
    2. MLB
    3. NASCAR
    4. College Football
    5. NBA
    6. College Basketball
    7. PGA
    8. NHL
    9. LPGA
    10. Indy/Cart racing

And I think there's a huge gap after the PGA.
