AND the shower head was so low, I had to bend down to wash my hair, and I'm only 5ft 6inches. Also, we could hear the freeway from our room so we had to run the room fan all night to drown out the noise. I have ressies there for November for my family that I made before my April trip, and now I'm thinking of canceling them.

Try asking for one of the closer buildings, or one facing the park. Are you definately going in November? I thought you were still debating? I really want to go back in October, but ah, I don't know yet!

I just had to check in at the front desk to get my new keycard and number) The following three nights I had a great room. Everything working and nice and quiet. Next time let the desk know. Pros were that the staff was very freindly, I really liked the "vaulted ceiling" effect with the the ceiling windows- made for a nice, open feel, and I thought the beds were comfortable ( although I think I could have slept comfortably on the floor that night I was so tired, LOL). Cons were that the room just seemed old and dingy to me. I would have cared alot more about the fridge that didn't work if I had been there longer and with my kids b/c we always use a fridge. Also, DyG and I also felt quite unsafe that night crossing the street in front of Hojo's for two reasons: first, it's kind of a blind corner so I'd hate to have to cross it with my children, and second, the fact that Hojo's is sort of set apart from the other hotels (which could also be a "pro") made it a little spooky for two women walking back alone at night-JMHO. However, after all is said I felt the room clean enough and the walk short enough that I'd personally return- IF I was able to get the $59 ET rate. They don't have rooms large enough to accomodate our large family for our vacations, but if I was just traveling with a few people I'd feel okay staying there again.

If we had been staying even one more night we would have needed to call the shower and fridge issue to the attention of the front desk. Maybe they could have moved us to a room further away from the FWY too.

We checked into Hojo's at about noon that day when we got there, dropped our stuff, and went to D-land. So we already had our room. I don't know what you mean by we missed the connection So =no fault/Hojo's. I know it's not their fault we didn't like where you cross the street (the side street, not S. Harbor), but it is their fault our fridge didn't work and our shower didn't work right. So yes, fault=Hojo's!!!

I think I'll just stick with the Hotels that have the kids suites for our family . No worries ibob, even though I was a bit upset and felt insulted at the insinuation we as grown adults would jay-walk, I was actually laughing while I wrote my [tongue-in-cheeck] response- it's aaaall good.
