gaydsnywitch - I've never had a freeway-side room, but I don't think I could take the noise. The last time I stayed there, I had a noisy vent or something, and the staff was very happy to move me to another room the next day.

The rooms are definitely not ritzy, but they are spacious and I appreciate the fridge. Ursula is right, it's not for everyone. But it's sure great if you're on a budget!

    I miss Darkbeer's bar!! ;-)

Yeah, GDW, I'd be unhappy, too. I've been in a freeway-side room, but I slept well with that noise level. It would irritate me to be near an elevator, though. They had you near the arcade? Yuck. I'm sorry. I wonder if being near an elevator gave you a smaller room, too?

I'm sorry to hear that you had a less than stellar experience at our hotel. The next time you're thinking about coming to Anaheim, if you'd like to send me an email [lorealle.bishop@hojoanaheim.com], I would be more than happy to talk about the different room types/locations that we have available that might accomodate you more comfortably.

    Regards,
    Lorealle

But I much prefer the Disney view or building 2.

I love the deluxe Disney and pool view rooms though, and they are always my first choice.
What keeps me coming back is the consistency. I like knowing what to expect, and HOJO's is always well within my comfort zone.
I have never had a bad meal at Mimi's, and when I am in town I take a lot of meals there.

At first I was terrified it would be awful but it was totally fine, we just missed seeing the Matterhorn and Monorail. We ran the fan at night and could not hear the traffic. HOJOs overall is the quietest hotel in the area. We love the room size, the staff, the pools and Mimi's is great. We dont mind the walk, after all you walk forever at DL anyway. I agree with what was said before about it being consistant, its nice to know that they will take care of you and its like a home away from home. Its just one less thing to worry about. Thanks HOJO and Willie and Lorealle.

We are so excited to be able to stay at HOJO's this time and are really looking forward to it!

The NBQ2 layout in building 2 has the most square footage (385) and a sink both inside and outside the bathroom. I also like the NQQ2 layout.

And do only some of the NQQ2 rooms have balconies also? We would like to have a balcony as well as a quiet room. What do you recommend or what should I ask for? Thanks so much for your help! We have never stayed at HOJO's and we are so excited to stay there! :)
