But, is it too "heavy-handed" when it comes to religion? We're thinking about possibly going here one day (if time permits) during our vacation in June. But, I don't necessarily want to be 'preached' to or have someone try to 'convert' me. We are Christian (Catholic), but, I'm hoping it is more educational in nature, as well as possibly fun at the same time.

We would like to visit here to possibly educate our son a little more on our religious beliefs, but, also to appreciate what this place has to offer.

It would be cheaper and more enjoyable if you attended mass and drop some money in the donation basket, if you are into religious causes and such.

a question posted is just that - it is the start of a thread-- if all you want is one answer and no other input, then my suggestion to use google is not rude either.

And to suggest that those of us here have no other lives, is insulting at best. If you knew some of the people here you would know better. People here share their knowledge on various topics...so the suggestion you have received since to ignore other posts is your best option outside of google.

Enjoy your life outside of here,I'm happy for you, but don't slam others who seek a little diversion from otherwise very full lives themselves.

His Catholic school teacher recommended visiting here when she learned of our upcoming trip.

The concept seems interesting, but it also seems a little hard to take. I'm one of those people who is just plain bother by televangelists, and it seems to be the same sort of concept. Good in theory, bad in execution. I would be interested in going some time, but I really don't know if it would be my cup of tea.

That's funny. My mother who is also one of those feverish catholics herself, went in..saw and was unimpressed because in her opinion... it just didn't feel 'catholic-like' to her. But she is old school catholic so who cares... To me though...it was like religion was presented in a non-denominational way but I just don't care for this place at all, especially in light of my being who I am and being chastized by the churches of Earth for being... eer.. "different" or "special", whathave you...
I am sure those who enjoy this type of religious activities would enjoy an afternoon there.
Me? I've have better times in the confession booth...

    Anyways...
FerretAfros...I think this place would normally take about 3 hrs to see give or take one.

Also, while I mostly don't mind organized religion, I do NOT appreciate "in your face" religion of ANY type. And I see a religious theme park as being "in your face" about it.

I'm not being argumentative here, please don't take it that way ~ I'm just saying I don't see the park being "in your face". If you aren't interested in the life of Jesus here on earth, then, naturally, the park would not interest you.
