Popping in here to say hello. We are making the best of this but wishing we still had livestock as that would keep us busy and eliminate most shopping. Tried to play a game online with my granddaughter last night but my computer camera would not work right. Hopefully we will get it worked out as they are in WA and very bored. We were supposed to be visiting in May but I do not feel optimistic about that right now. We are really hoping to make it to Michigan by summer.

Still keeping calm and carrying on. Lack of anything better to do has given me plenty of time to take care of my taxes (I think my draft 1040 is ready to copy over to the filing and file copies), finish projects, and GET BACK ON QUOTA in my annual Lenten cover-to-cover of the KJV. (Just got through Micah. Hosea is always a fun read: where else do you find the Almighty ordering a prophet to go marry a w----? And Jonah is also a fun read, because he's such a yutz.)

Its been years since I have been on these boards, remembering the times when it was a very active place :)
During these hard times, I have been thinking about Disneyland in particular, ( brings me back to that happy place) I have been watching the wonderful world of Disney on Youtube! Nothing quite like seeing Walt, and watching Disneyland being built all those years ago.
I wish everyone the best, stay safe, and it has been very nice to see people from many years ago still on the boards!

Every new or returning poster is one more active poster away from this becoming a dead board.

I woke up yesterday feeling just plain crappy. But in this crazy time my first thought was...............well, you know. Anyway, I think it was mostly having a banana split for dinner Sunday and not getting much sleep. I laid around all day and got a good night's sleep and I feel much better today. But it is amazing how our minds can run away with us these days.

Some weeks ago, I et something that disagreed with me, and it gave me the runs and a hot-flash, but it ran (so to speak) its course very quickly.

Still, it had me wondering for a moment.

I'm glad you are both feeling better. I think that it is exceptionally common to jump to conclusions when one isn't feeling up to snuff in these times. It's all we are hearing about on the news and in conversations. I've decided that I'm taking tomorrow off from the covid-craziness...not going in to work (getting a new dryer delivered), not going to turn news/talk shows on during the day (even though I do like to watch Ellen when I get the chance), and I am going to enjoy my day with my lovely dogs. I'll deal with covid again on Friday. ;)

Great plan! A couple of weeks ago I just hid in my bedroom for a day. I asked Rod to bring me a bagel and cream cheese and told him he was on his own. Later I had some soup. All I did was watch TV (absolutely NO news) and sleep. The next day I felt like a whole new person.

Last night, I woke up with my left ear in considerable pain. Started to wonder if choking down Olympic-level sneezes had given me an ear infection. But no, I think I just slept on it wrong, and it was starting to cauliflower.

In case you missed my addendum to my post on the "Disneyland reopening" thread, I got word yesterday afternoon that the Hollywood Bowl season has been canceled. Even though I was anticipating this, it still came as a shock. In 98 years, the season had never been canceled in toto. World War II did not cancel the season entirely. The financial crisis of 1951 almost canceled the season, but Buff Chandler came to the rescue, raising enough money to reinstate the season.

Maybe they will be able to figure out some alternative seating arrangements to allow for a few shows to go on. They are erring on the side of safety, and I get it because they cancelled the Portland Rose Festival as well. I feel badly for the young women who work so hard to become princesses...it looks great on a college resume, as well as being an incredible experience.

On the nerd side; my daughter's family was so upset that all of Emerald City Comicon was cancelled. There were some pretty good guests lined up.

We just want to be able to get in our RV and go. Sadly, even though we could; there are few places to stop. As of right now Michigan has no travel restrictions. However, the county where my son and grandchildren live has very few cases and no reported deaths. I doubt that visitors from a *hot spot* would be welcome. I am thinking that we might go (if our campground even opens this year) and self quarantine for two weeks. We are fully self contained so it is plausible. I just hate the very thought of not seeing my grandchildren for two years.
