    The Dreamcatcher was the flying mechanical device that Dreamfinder and Figment were riding in the sky.

    A couple of years ago George McGinnis made an appearance at Walt's Barn. Among the "stuff" he had casually strewn on the table in front of him was a complete track layout for Horizons. Seeing how that whole thing was engineered gave me an even greater appreciation for it.

    For me, I was only familiar with the Haunted Mansion and Adventure Thru Innerspace vehicles at Disneyland.

    So, to see all the new ways to transport guests through the new rides --

    "Spaceship Earth" with the open-air train-like cars;

    "World of Motion" with the larger two row vehicles that would remain level;

    "Horizons" with the suspended cars;

    "Universe of Energy" with the theatre that broke apart and moved;

    "The Land" boat ride;

    "Imagination" with that frickin' amazing first scene with Dreamfinder and Figment -- that was a real 'headscratcher' for me when I first saw it.

    But all of different ways to transport guests through the attractions was so interesting and innovative and cool.

I did think the "choose your own ending" scenes did look a bit hokey, but the idea was good. I remember riding once with a younger friend and when they said "majority rules", and it was just the two of us, I quickly pushed the empty seat's button to get my choice, LOL.

    I sure wish they had found a way to update the attraction instead of remove it, because I don't think Mission Space is quite up to the same standards, even if it is more thrilling.

    I don't remember them ever saying that they had any high and mighty social agenda. Ben & Jerry's is the last company that really did that. They are, first and foremost, a business. Walt may not have made his top priority MONEY but he wouldn't have gotten anything he wanted without it...so even he had to bow down to the almighty dollar, especially after they went public and it was no longer just his money.

I think there were three to choose from if I remember, I do remember the cars being very close together and being able to see the people in the cars on both sides of me. It was a great ride. I still think of this ride when I buy orange cleaner or potpourri. I also agree with the previous poster about World of Motion being a great ride too! I miss both of these.
