This might be just a temporary one and the old one might return but I hope not completely. Sure they can include the "forward facing tenticles" and "Mr. Tom Morrow" in a new spiel, but I liked that they got more descriptive about the Carousel of Progress and up to date about the new attractions. What's wrong with that? I believe my point, when not trying to be a "frickin comedian", was things can change or they can die off as no longer relevant. Which would you prefer? Will an updated spiel help that...personally I don't think it could hurt and it might help. Remember TTA almost never has a wait line and you almost always get a car to yourself, in fact I always have since I first rode it in 1983.

I would love to hear the long meetings and discussions about this and talk to the people who green lighted it.

I kid, Pierce. But seriously, who knew the importance of the Tom Morrow line before the spiel changed? WDI ought to put a little cemetary-of-the-future over between the Skyway restroom and the COP, with a tombstone for Tom. Mr. Morrow, we hardly knew ye!

Originally Posted By davewasbaloo Tomorrowland was always supposed to have the ideals of the future, that was the point when DL opened and then when the MK opened. And I would argue that Futureworld used to be futuristic (Universe of Energy looked at the importance of alternative resources; Wonders of Life had futuristic desplays on bio tech as well as Body Wars being pretty sci fi; Horizons was totally futuristic; World of Motion had the future vehicles at the end too; then Spaceship Earth had future comms links at the end; The Land has hydroponics and other experimental horticulture; and the Living Seas was an underwater research centre. Most of that all still sound very futuristic to me.

I like "The Land" as I call it, and am happy that the narration isn't more or less than it is now at the TTA (Peoplemover). They could have made it more monotone, or more animated, but I feel they've hit a decent midpoint to keep folks interested, yet informed of what's in their line of vision on the TTA.

I'd have to agree that it sounds like the person who did the old narration before the 1996 makeover (ORAC-1). I miss the 'corny' Tomorrowland references, (like "Paging Mr. Morrow"), but feel that this new narration brings back much of the spirit of the WEDWay Peoplemover. And, yes, they do use the term "Peoplemove" during the course of the narration!!!
