Various attraction go under multi-month rehabs just for basic maintenance that can't be completed in one night during park close. And maybe they were just going for something more fresh in regards to the new spiel, its as good as the previous one. Improvement in this case is subjective, there's nothing inherently wrong with the way it is. It is a people-mover and overview of Tomorrowland.
