We may just give them a call and check the prices on their 3 Q rooms.

Those breaks are really easy to take because the motel is right next to the Katella gate, and you can take the parking lot shuttle to "Tinkerbell" and only have to walk another 50 yards or so. I've come to know the owners, in fact I've known them for more than a decade, and they are very nice people. Oh, wait . . . . . Oh crap.
Originally Posted By Schmitty Good Vibes Never stayed there, huh, SuzieQ ? Everything I said above is accurate, except the Heidi is no more, and California Screamin' is now in it's place. There were two "suites" in the back, and they cost only $36.00 just about up to the end. The last couple of years they were in the mid $50.00's. Those rooms were great for trips with the gandparents, and were fine for later when our kids were much older. It was right against the "Katella Gate" on DL's South property line. The tram CM's would always be happy to go a little out of there way and drop us at the gate. Staying there for almost two decades, I did come to know the Mom & Pop owners, but I can't remember their names. I can never remember names, so, about three or foour years before it closed, like I always did, I looked for the owners names on their business license hanging behind the desk. That way I could fake my way through it with a "Hi, Bob" or Fred or whatever. But on this trip I noticed the owners weren't my friends anymore, although they were at the desk to greet me. The new owner was The Walt Disney Co., and that was before anyone knew anything about Westcot, let alone DCA. So, a few years later, my friends retired very well off. But I sure miss the Heidi.

If I had to choose a negative it would be that there is no free breakfast, but they have a pizzahut/marketplace on the 3rd floor that is very reasonable in price. My family and I just left that hotel a few days ago and the rooms were sooooo comfortable, they had many views of the park, fireworks, and pool, and their staff was oustanding. I was able to get connecting rooms because there were a lot in this hotel, and the biggest room is 2 queen beds and a sofa pullout (very convenient). I just wanted to put this recommendation out there because it seems like everyone is looking for convenience, comfort, affordability, and quality of service and after my stay at the Anaheim Fairfield Inn...I highly recommend it.
