From what I saw of it, it was too cool and too fun. DD asked if we could stay in that room next time we went to SD.

I live less than an hour from DL and I've stayed in all three DL hotels, plus NUMEROUS other area hotels. It's just easier sometimes to not drive back and forth.

Make sure you see the men's room.

The Ahwahnee Hotel inside of Yosemite for one night just to say we did it. It is a fantastic place in a unparalleled landscape. You can't beat Yosemite Valley, one of the most stunning places on the planet.

We have stayed at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, and LOVED it (similar in style to Grand Californian/ Wilderness Lodge):

    <a href="http://www.tenayalodge.com/" target="_blank">http://www.tenayalodge.com/</a>

And stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado in the San Diego area:

Madonna Inn is very quirky, I used to live in SLO and when we were driving past had to stop for dinner and take Mikey to the toilet - it freaked out my little 4 year old - lol!

Ursula the madonna inn looks wonderful, but we're not actually going to be doing the coast, I know that sounds mad, but we only have just over 3 weeks, and had to make the choice, and the national parks came up more important for us :)

The Del can also be pricey, but deals can be found there.

I don't know, I don't think Smed is going to have a great trip unless she stays in the Caveman room at the Madonna Inn. ;)

    Found it!

The Yosemite Lodge. I liked it because of the price and it was a short way from the Ahwahnee. We were in a wedding and we hiked up to one of the lesser domes for the ceremony. And I was in a dress!
