I want my whole house to be clean when I leave so it's clean when I get back.

I will start laying things out the week before I leave, and actually put them into suitcases a couple of days before departure. Lists, planning, packing, all part of the fun!!

One year when I totally left it up to him he realized he left all his short-sleeved button ups on hangers at home. He had ONE Mickey T-shirt to last him the week. On the 3rd day I convinced him to buy some new t-shirts, LOL!

All of my flat, paper, etc., type souvineers were together on the way home, lying flat in the suitcase and arrived in tip top shape. Used one as a double protection agains the bag that contains toiletries to prevent any chance of leakage, etc., etc.

Mickeynewe was full of fun suggestions (remember the detailed and organized vacation "binder"?). I haven't seen her around here lately .
