I just did a rolling stop through a stop sign (and I'm sure I did) and 2. He *started* following when I took one of our mountain curves *really* wide (which I totally remember doing) but didn't notice him following me. So, he asks for license, registration, insurance. I can only find the license right away, so he takes that while I dig for insurance and regsistration. About 5 minutes later he comes back and by then I've found an old insurace card, but no registration. He asks me if I know anyone who works for RIVERSIDE sherif's dept. I say, yes, my husband, who works support for RSD and is at work right this very minute. (ElderP took the opportunity available to him when he worked front desk to block the address for our DL and Registration, no now when you look up our address in the system it doesn't show our address it just shows Riverside County Sheriff.) At that he asks me if I'm safe to drive home, I assure him that I am, and he sends me on my way. And I make a FULL stop at the next stop sign. I totally should have gotten a ticket, but didn't because of the blue wall. Not fair, but neither am I going to write a letter of complaint and demand a ticket.

I have never gotten a ticket yet, knock on wood... in 21 years of driving!

I went to court with my timesheet and said that while I may have been speeding I couldn't have been doing it at the time listed on my ticket, so the judge had to throw my ticket out... apparently one of the guys who runs the photo radar had screwed up the time setting, so my ticket was improperly issued

When I was 21, I was pulled over coming back from Reno. I was going 80, and everyone else had sped passed me so the CHP had only seen me by the time he finished with the ticket he had just finished writing. I paid it and did traffic school. The last one I should not have gotten. I was taking my flex time from work, so I had a 3 hour lunch. I was going through a stop sign, and knowing it was near a school, I did a full stop. The cop was no where to be seen, but when he saw me, I was going 15 through the intersection. Well, yeah...I had sped up to move through the intersection. Duh. So I got the ticket, paid it and did traffic school again. I was involved in a hit and run this weekend, on Manchester Ave, right across from Disneyland, but that's a whole other story.

Yes, I remember now being stopped for rolling through a stop sign 2 blocks from my house with my kids who were at that time very little. I told them that they absolutely had to remain silent. I admitted to the cop that I had transgressed, he looked at my two kids with eyes as big as saucers and lips sealed and just gave me a verbal warning. He must have figured that being embarrassed in front of my kids was punishment worse than a ticket.
