Hmmm ... I have been asked this a lot, but I'm not even sure where to begin really.

From 1974 until the early 90s, I likely spent as many as 35-50 days a year in WDW parks. (People who think I have rose-colored glasses due to going too much now should take note!)

I cut down in the '90s, but also became a DL AP holder. So from about 1995-present, I'd venture to say I spend parts of just as many days spread between the two resorts annually. That doesn't include my two DCL cruises ... or DLP, which I started to visit last year and am now an AP holder in Paris as well.

If I were to take a low estimate (30 days a year) and multiply it ... you're still talking about 1,000 days in my life being in some Disney park.

    wow ...

We'll be going to WDW for the first time this November, but that will really be stretching our resources--it's on the virge of not being possible, but we'll do it because we really want to so we'll make it happen. More than we're doing, though, wouldn't be possible no matter how determined we were. Sorry, everyone, if I've saddened this subject with the practicality thing, but I'm curious.

Her first visit was in 1999 and we have 86 rooms keys from WDW hotels and 3 from DTD hotels. Trips length average is 3 days. So 267 since 1999. Prior to that about 6 three day trips for a grand total of 285.

We are also from UK so we tend to come to WDW once a year but generally for 3 weeks if we can. Can't wait till Paris in 11 days which will take us to 113 days and counting. Minniesummer we also kept all our keys and tickets from all trips which is why I can easily add up our days spent in parks.

Keep those tallies coming in and thanks for responding we have enjoyed remembering our first trip and all those since, remembering what rides were or were not there etc all the different parades and shows keeps us young lol. ºoº

I really wouldn't know where to start and almost certainly couldn't count them up. On an annual basis it must be between 8 and 12 weeks inside the five resorts' theme parks. However it has only been like that for about the last 8 years. Prior to that it would be 4-6 weeks annually.

Recent years have been blurred by the amount of work time inside the parks too. If I added up the time inside Disney office buildings too it would be more than I would like to contemplate!

I guess I'm very fortunate that it is actually a pretty even split between the five resorts. Can't be many people with APs for all five resorts either!

I work in a professional field. I spend time with my family and friends. And I travel to non-Disney destinations. ...oh and I like long walks on the beach!

<<And how do to support your trips?>>

Frankly, that's a bit personal. I pay for them. Sometimes my family and friends pay.

TWDC doesn't hand out freebies ... well, not to me.

Everyone is different and in different circumstances. I'm lucky in that my main residence is a 3 hr drive to WDW or a 20-minute flight. I also get to visit DL on an almost monthly basis because I have a second residence in SoCal.

Some people aren't so fortunate. It took me many years to visit Europe and DLP and Alaska and St.Lucia and other fave destinations. This year, I'm finally getting to Tokyo, something I've dreamed of since I was a kid.

I hope you have a great visit to WDW and if you need any tips/advice, please ask.

    No apology needed.

Well, if there's one thing I've learned is there will always be many people that have things much better than you and many, many more that have things much worse. But we should all appreciate what we have.

Anyway, enough spiritual babble, where are you staying at WDW?

You've gotten me excited just writing about it but I still have a long wait.

And on with the original thread, my first trip was to Disneyland in 1968.
I had seen the Disney attractions in 1964 and 1965 at the New York World's Fair, if that counts.

And the rooms are very modern and spacious. Have a great time!
