I gather the plan would be to unvail additions every 18 months or so depending on the success of the area. >>

As far as I can tell, this seems like the plan. After all, the first idea Universal Creative pitched to Rowling almost 11 years ago was a Harry Potter show where good Wizards battled the Death Eaters. I could easily see this taking over the Sinbad show, with a walkthrough replacing Poseidon's Fury.

If that's truly the case. I fear for WDW, and I feel sorry for those experiencing the resort for the first time in this state.

This really isn't necessarily true. Kids will always be blown away by the place, but for anyone over the age of let's say 15, they can tell the place looks old and worn out.

My daughters boyfriend ( 26) went for the first time last year and was completely blown away - and was not even a Disney fan before that. He couldn't wait to go back- and thought the place was fantastic.

My wife's cousin (44) and her husband and kids went for their first trip last year- and were so impressed bought into DVC..

Sometimes it's actually good to get that other perspective first hand instead of us speculating what others may or may not think.

I believe disney has done enough renovating to hide its age. I could be wrong, but thats my opinion

I was greatly disappointed on my last trip to WDW in January of 2009. While I was disappointed for a number of reasons, I have never felt that WDW looks old, and worn out.

Perhaps your feeling of the parks being stale adds to that feeling. While I too feel the staleness about them. The only thing that I could have even come close to saying was shabby, was the horticulture in some areas.

I agree VBDAD. Even in the state it's in now a newbie will be completely blown away. Sadly Disney knows this too.

There are parts of it that still look like the 70's and 80's, but for the most part, it does look very modern.

    I know. ;-)

I like seeing the old stuff, sometimes.

It's most apparent in the Poly, or in the TTC, or outside of EPCOT.

It's that "Yeah, this is ORIGINAL DISNEY" feeling that makes me happy. LOL.
