That is so true! I like to have a cushion of a few hundred, just like you. But sometimes the money just isn't there, and you have to do the math just about daily to make sure you have enough to pay for the whole trip. Sucks!

I live in California and drink the tap water every single day of my life because there is nothing wrong with it. I don't know what bad experience you had with it but I wish I owned a water bottling plant to make money off people like you who have this grandiose idea that there is something magically about bottled water.

I'm with the other lightweights who can't drink CA water. You don't even want to know what my stomach does if I slip up and forget while I'm down there.

I'll be flying down in 10 days (OMG!), and can't bring water with me because TSA is lame. Does anyone know of any shops within walking distance of the Crosswalk that has larger bottles? It's going to cost a fortune to buy 5 days worth of DL's little bottles.

Count me in for the $3 bottle of water!

There might also be a local bus option, but I don't know the OC public transportation system well enough to say.

They are not illegal in any way. There's a size restriction, but small hand-carried coolers are perfectly fine, as long as they go through baggage check.
