If you had a favorite vacation destination like, let's say, St. Lucia, would she say, "Again???!!!". No, most people would say, "Oh how nice. Will you be staying at the same hotel?" No one ever asks me where I'm staying or what will you be doing. They just give me this little weird smirk.

As well as other collections. Almost all my clothers (even some work articles are Disney). But sadly my obsession is waning. I feel the company has fallen far IMHO - movies, park offerings, everything. And it is very upsetting. My trip to DL next year is really my last attempt to see if I can rekindle the passion. But saying that, my Disney Mountain book arrived this week and I devoured it with glee.

I rush to see every new Disney movie or animated feature and I have a vast collection of Disney merchandise. Visiting a Disney park is attractive to me because it makes me forget about real life and allows me to avoid things that are troubling me, so I go often. If someone says something negative about a particular Disney park, attraction, movie or the company itself, I feel personally stung by this" OMG!!! this is me down to a tea!!! at first a used to go once a year with family to disneyland, then had a wonderful visit to disney world back in 1996 and had a blast after that i had to get my hands on anything about disney or disney history, read various walt disney books, couldn't get enough of any of the movies, started reading and studying the disney secrets and hidden micky sites, then my sister got a job at disneyland and started going almost once a month, she quit and realized crap i cant go back to going once a year, talked my family into getting passes, we would go quite a few times a month without getting sick of it. then after five years did the disney college program and eventually landed a job at the disneyland resort and i am still there loving it a year later. I care deeply for the company and it kills me when the leaders of the company make really bad decisions and if someone talks bad about anything disney i do feel it is my duty to defend disney. I am deeply into the disney history, traditions, etc. My role model is walt disney and think about what he MIGHT have wanted me to do as a cast member and it has never led me astray. I have been with the company officailly for two years, one year at the disneyland resort working attractions and just got my fourth attraction which is grizzley river rapids!!! I am going to be putting in an application for trainer as soon as they set the appplications out again. and then we'll see were that takes me.

I'd love to see more of the world, but I keep having to go back to the Disney parks I just hope my passion continues, I think it would be so sad to lose it!

We are going for Thanksgiving, and I am already planning for my birthday in May. We are turning our bedroom into a Disney room. My daughters room is full of Princess and our larger framed Vacation trip DL pictures. I buy every piece of disney clothing I find that is with in reason of price. ( you know gotta save for our trips. haha) yeah I do love me some Disney!

I put down my lower expenditure down to that.<< That could be it. Used to be The Disney Store carried some cool stuff for adults, some Disney stuff that could qualify as business casual even. It's harder to find that stuff, and I'm not a catalog shopper. Also, there is some neat stuff for sale at the parks, but very little in my price range. The high end stuff is neat, but I don't have the space (nor the budget) for anything like the big figs or the replicas of the castle, Main Street, etc. Much of the clothing for sale at the park is rather generic stuff. Or they'll go crazy with Pirates stuff every place. I'm a purist in that I think that the merchandise out to be at least somewhat themed to the land in which it's sold. Too often, the very same generic Disneyland stuff is available in every shop. So, yes, that's part of it. But perhaps part of it is me -- it used to be more unusual to see Disney clothing and stuff around. Now it's ever-present, everywhere. Maybe I have just reached the saturation point and my interest in that stuff is waning? I find that generally speaking, no matter where I go, I'm spending a lot less on souvenirs of all types. Maybe it's just the age I'm at, I dunno...
