It would essentially become "50's land." Even the placque at the entrance wouldn't be accurate any more.

I think if anything they should theme it 300 years ahead. That would allow the most way-out ideas and they'd never have to worry about the present catching up or trying to make "accurate predictions."

With the exception of TRON of course. :) Can you tell I'm excited about TRON?

It not that, then I'm really for doing something very 1950's Retro theming.

I just want something exciting and optimistic, so we get the same anticipation for the future that we got in 1967. Sci-Fi could do it.

Then repurpose/demolish the old Carousel building and put something new in that spot, put the rockets back up on their pedestal, and give the land a sci-fi overlay and we'd be halfway there....

Somehow Disney got wind of it though, and after realizing that most of your Hanisms had some negative connection to Disney, they bought me out for twice the amount of my book deal. So it'll sadly never hit the stands.

First, I'd plan on about a 20-21-month closure of everything but the Subs, the Monorail, and Space Mountain.

I would start out by building a new CoP attraction, with a severely downsized Innoventions on the upper level only. This CoP would maybe put "Valentine's Day" around the end of WWI, "Independence Day" a year or so after WWII, "Halloween" sometime around the Apollo 17 landing, and "Christmas" around 2025. The exit segment would then have an escalator and an elevator going up to Innoventions, with maybe goggle-less 3D screens showing computer models of a re-imagined "Progress City," with hi-rise urban truck-farms growing fresh, organic produce year-round, extensive public transportation networks, and so forth.

I'd rebuild the roof over the "Magic Eye/Imagination Institute" theatre, build it strong enough to eventually stack another attraction on top, and I'd build an upper-level walkway connecting it to the Innoventions level of the Carousel Theatre.

I'd move Pizza Port to the long-vacant upper level of Starcade, move Buzz to the old "Flight to the Moon" building, and convert CircleVision back into CircleVision (but this time, all digital, capable of showing ANY CV film that's ever been made (including the Animatronics needed for Timekeeper).

I'd rebuild the Peoplemover to WDW-MK standards.

For Autopia, I'd rip the whole thing out, and make "Autopia 2020" a prototype "smart-highway" system. Vehicles (powered by something OTHER than noisy, stinking gasoline engines!) would at once give guests both MORE and LESS control over the experience: they would be able to choose alternate paths at several points, but at the same time, the "Smart Highway" system would prevent them, without oversize bumpers or a guide-rail, from crashing into each other or running off the road.

At forks in the road, you could steer off the default path; if you started too late, the Smart Highway system wouldn't let you take the fork, and where the alternate path merges with the main road, it would keep the merging traffic orderly, even if guests tried to do otherwise.
