My oldest had the cinnamon apple pancakes, which were really good, but WAY undercooked/doughy. My youngest had the mickey waffle. She asked for extra powdered sugar, and boy did they deliver! DH and dd both liked the sausage and the biscuits were ok. The service was not great though. We waited forever for a coffee refill from our server but couldn't find her, then finally asked a different server. That server went and told someone else, who told someone else, who finally brought coffee.

The couple at the table next to us waited in vain for coffee, and were told at least three times that it would be there "shortly." No one has mentioned our favorite appetizer: Fried Pickles. Yes, it sounds so strange, but they are really quite tasty. They are crisp dill spears, breaded with panko crumbs and served with a mild but tasty dipping sauce. Try them!

We said whatever is best for you, and the hostess just stared back blankly at us and said "no, you decide". We picked inside. We were seated next to a couple who had already been there a while but had yet to see a server. Standing near the walls were what appeared to be busboys but they neither made eye contact, greeted us or the people next to us, or otherwise did much but stand there and hold a tray. After almost ten minutes a server came and took our order and then the order of the people next to us. It was another 5-7 minutes before she brought drinks out to us, meanwhile with the busboys not doing much of anything. They'd disappear into the kitchen once in a while, but then come out and stand in the doorway to the patio again. Our food came out not long after the drinks did, well before our neighbors' food, even though we ordered the same thing. My wife had the Mickey's head waffle and I had the ham and cheese omelette. Rather than order a side of three pieces of bacon for $2.59 extra, my wife gave me her bacon and I gave her my two strawberries. Neither one of us ate the grapes, especially not after our doctor told us to stay away from them while saying they were "little sugar bombs" not long ago. The food was passable. My wife liked her waffles and the omelette was fine, but the bacon literally dripped grease. I passed on it. The bill for the two of us after a passholder discount was $25.15 before tip. Not bad at all when you consider the Plaza Inn was $23.99 per person for their breakfast buffet. We also looked around for people we remembered as working there a long time, in particular an older man named Bob, but when we asked, no one knew who we were talking about. We'd eat there again, but likely wouldn't go out of our way to do so.

Nothing against the CC, just don't like to wait so long for a table when it's just the two of us. We can sit outside at either location and, honestly, looking out over the river in the morning is quite nice.
