Luckily, or scarily depending on how you view it, I had slept on the couch that night as I was watching something late on TV. They must have walked in seen me and panicked. They must have grabbed the first couple of things they thought were worth money (including the pants I had hung on the edge of the couch) and ran. We found everything the following morning dumped in my neighbours garden, nothing was lost at all, but it's scary to know there were there in the room while I slept. Things will get better with time.
