I agree Until they have other offerings that could absorb the crowds WDW is use to when it comes to nighttime entertainment, I don't think it would ever work in that park. Also, they probably would not want to keep the park open as it is now, just for a nighttime entertainment show like WOC unless they could guarantee certain dining revenues which they can't in the current setup. Two of the restaurants aren't even theirs. Besides, it sounds like they are at least looking at placing it at DTD.

Hard to believe DAK is 10+ years old and it is still this underdeveloped. Not that I'm surprised given WDW over that time. But a nighttime show? Yeah, there should be one. Closing at night instead of afternoon? Yeah, that should be a given. Attractions that don't depend on animal feeding schedules? There's a few but not nearly enough. It's incredible how deep the hole is that WDW finds itself. Literally every one of their theme parks needs a major facelift -- Epcot least of all, but there are just major gaps and shortcomings in each of the parks.

And they need to add another Major E-Ticket just so they can fix the Yeti. So they just need to pull the trigger on that anyway regardless of any plan to carry the park into the night. But considering the fact that wdw is a Theme Park destination resort. They really need to put most of they WOW stuff in the parks. This whole dining shopping focus of Disney's is really getting annoying.

Any WDW manager can tell you they are a "HOTELS" resort. That is why the moeny they spend goes towards unneeded tacky cheap hotels and DVC timeshares, and not much stuff is done at the parks. And for the record..get this straight (or gayly forward): the only reason why we are getting an expanded Fantasyland is because Universal's Island od Adventures is rapidly eroding into Disney's magic, and surpassing it. Seems like a classic case of a little too late. The boy Magician has one over the imagineers.

Your average guest at WDW is too lazy to find entertainment value in anything that does not have explosive pyro or cutesy electromagnetic sound scores.

Of course, I recall plans from just about when the economy tanked in 2007-08 that would have added 'mini- DD' type areas close to each of the four parks ... I thought those were just as much BS too. The only thing that may happen here is the parking structures. And I have my doubts because WDW doesn't care about basics like that. And WoC is NEVER coming to DAK! NEVER!
Originally Posted By dshyates "And WoC is NEVER coming to DAK! NEVER!" My guess nothing is ever coming to DAK. It's been 5 years since they added anything. I guess because DAK is perfect. A fully fleshed out concept. We're done here. Nothing left to do.
