I for instance hated the Poo playground as it was a waste of valuable Fantasyland space - now as a queue enhancement to the ride itself- hey not an issue.I hate the DDP as I believe it has had consequences such as menu dumbing down, price rising to match 'value' etc. Have hated hours being cut - Fantasmic only being twice a week- no excuse..etc. Really don't want to see DVC units in GF..want better maintenance on rides and more variety on MSUSA...all issues. However no matter what they do for some they are idiots or behind Uni or whatever now easy to call post before post number 10 in every thread. AS far as grassy knolls - how about we wait and see what they are like first. Is the concept of more open space and relaxation at DTD horible ? Quite franky I think they got tired of trying to be everything to everyone and this is much more famiuly friendly- which getcalled for, yet when they deliver they also get ripped. If it's done shoddily ( like Poo playground) people will not blindly depend it, but most of us aren;'t ready to rip them a new orifice like is happening over the HM queue when no one has even seem the darn thing yet.

It's a byproduct of them not getting any third-party support. <<Quite franky I think they got tired of trying to be everything to everyone and this is much more famiuly friendly>> True, families do love playing in yards! Point is, they closed 2 great venues that were very Disney in order to put down sod.

Would people rather see closed shops- or worse yet - crap stores - open in their place ? Cater to the vendors that still can afford to and want to do business there- and make the rest of the area beautiful for 10 years or so-- then let's see where the economy is at

I find it funny that adding interactive queus is 'screwing up the ambience' yet not having something in ones face every square inch also sucks.

Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt <<Since when has DtD at WDW had any kind of thematic integrity?>> "Seriously? PI had one hell of a backstory." Ah, yes it did. But none of it made any sense, at least not to me, within the context of the larger DtD shopping district, especially when the west side addition was built. So the term "thematic integrity" is arguable.

How this series of events is anything but bad baffles me.
