I was amazed at all the animals at the pound, they even had fish if you can believe that. So no she didn't have a name. I am being very patient with her just incase. She doesn't seem to be abused at all. She likes children. She doesn't like teenagers. She will only go to the bathroom outside on the grass or pinestraw and not concrete. She is very visual and really enjoys watching my 52" Gateway DLP tv. She is quiet and won't bark in the house. She likes being outside. When I drove her home we was looking at all the houses in my subdivision as if looking for her former home. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't adopt her but for some reason no one was intrested. The pound put a microchip in her. I have never had a dog with a microchip before. I have this dog bed in my bedroom that belong to my dog that passed away. My new dog gathered my socks and tee shirt and put them on the dog bed. She slept next to my bed next to me. Then early this morning she lied down on the dog bed. I did get her a few toys. Her favorite is a stuffed cow that sqeeks. She carrys it around in her mouth and drops it in my lap. She wants to play all the time. So the first 24 hours have gone very well. I have been thinking long and hard today and I will tell you that for now on, I will always bring my new dog with me while visiting WDW. I will stay at Ft Wilderness in the pet loop.

She is so smart and well trained that I cannot imagine why anyone would abandon her. We got her to be a companion for Gadget. He got cancer and died less than a year after we got her so we were so glad we had her. Now "her" dog is a dachshund named Sk8r. We live in the country and have many animals. I could not imagine a house without them so I am very happy for you and for your lucky new friend. I can tell she will be well loved. (Sk8r goes everywhere with me. He has been up and down the west coast from Seattle to San Diego.)

I think sometimes people pass over bigger dogs in the pound thinking they are hard work but most times they sleep alot and only have short bursts of energy, whereas little dogs have more energy all the time. From what you have written she sounds like a lovely dog and just perfect for you!
