-I agree. Except I like Dumbo more than Tri-Top Spin because of the beautiful detail on and around the spinner, especially at Disneyland, its great! And the lack of Landscaping is terrible in that place. Obviously for a parking lot carnival theme, it must be a 10 with the lack of landscaping. But for me, any themeing with a lack of landscaping somewhere mixed in about it is a 0.

That said, if it's a very temporary place holder for something much more grand I will be happy. But I don't care for the area.

It's called "The Exterminator" and it is placed inside of a building where it is themed as an underground sewer utility building. Basically, you are riding in a giant rat and you are being chased by (limited motion) animatronic exterminators throughout the ride. There are some great effects and doing the whole ride in the dark makes it all the more fun and disorienting. It's just a way better experience to me than Primeval Whirl is.

Just for the record, Cypress Gardens has the very same ride, minus the theming, as well. There, it's called "Galaxy Spin".

That will be changing soon with a new nighttime parade and new branding (Disney's Night/Nighttime Kingdom) to highlight it. DAK is absolutely spectacular at night and it is such a shame that the ordinary guest can't really experience it and I only get to see it at special events.

The ordinary guest? As opposed to the extraordinary guest like you? Sorry - couldn't resist. Perhaps a bad choice of words, leemac?

A real highlight for me was the opening party for Everest. Getting to see all that area lit up was spectacular. That said I know that regular guests who attended the EMH in April also got to see the park at night so I'm not that special (despite my mother telling me otherwise)...

Actually, I believe it will have a different layout to accomodate the outside dip. It will at least need to be slightly modified to allow for that, but all those rides are essentially the same thing. I hope that the theming they add to it really makes it special and stand out from all the other rides just like it that have been created.

Expedition Everest is very impressive at night and even has whisps of snow blowing off the summit that is a really cool effect.

-Absolutely agreed, the way the animals are presented in Animal Kingdom are amazing.

That is indeed great news. I can easily spend a day or longer in the park, and at night would be very cool. There is much hope for this modern masterpiece.

-Also agreed. A spectacular nighttime water parade would be awesome. And I like your choice or words, "modern masterpiece." That sums up AK pretty well.

That ride is actually quite fun. It doesn't spin as much as the Crazy Mouse version, but, it tends to feel more like changing directions vs. all out spinning.

Primeval Whirl is a Reverchon "Crazy Mouse", now licensed by Zamperla.
