My husband is a urologist and he recommends a 6 week (or 21 ejaculation) check for lack of sperm. Although I don't know you and your wife. Maybe 2 weeks will be all it takes for 21!! And definitely go back for the check. My husband just performed a repeat vasectomy (the patient was previously seen at another hospital, not by him) because the man had his surgery and did not go back for the follow up. He ended up in my husband's office because - SURPRISE! - his wife is now pregnant. Needless to say they were both a little confused. Follow up, follow up, follow up! And congratulations on a beautiful family.
