It probably wouldn't have made the BBC.

I feel *slightly* sorry for her, insofar as this has no doubt gotten bigger than she reasonably expected, but that's about the extent of it.

Except, she is 17. And by the kind of scandal she created, I don't believe it was intentional or malicious. Careless and irresponsible are more applicable.

Whew boy - a true 18 year old...that last line bods for a long relationship, as I said the odds aren't good. Aye yi yi!

The boyfriend of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter describes himself as a "redneck who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes.''

The description appears in a profanity-laden entry posted by Levi Johnston in his MySpace account. The entry was made private over the weekend, but not before several media outlets published parts of it.

Johnston, 18, is believed to be the father of Palin's 17-year-old daughter Bristol's baby. On Monday, Palin revealed that the unwed Bristol is five months pregnant.

In a statement, Palin and her husband said the young couple will marry soon.

But in Johnston's MySpace entry, the teenager hints that fatherhood was not in his immediate plans.

Johnston says he is ''in a relationship,'' but on the question about how he feels about children he said: "I don't want kids.''

He also says his true love is ice hockey.

Here's part of his entry before it was made private:

'I'm a f--kin' redneck who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes. But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s--t and just f--kin' chillin' I guess. Ya f--k with me I'll kick ass."

    Status: "In a relationship.''

    Children: "I don't want kids.''

    I liked this part:

Well, at least they are in the right party. The GOP is all about Chillaxin' with the guys and Kickin' Ass.

Do you have a baby shower? Is it a "celebration" and does that just make it all acceptable and okay now? Does that send a mixed message to younger kids in the family?

All I'm saying is, it isn't as neat and tidy as they'd like it to appear. But it's their own business ultimately. Unless they start flinging the family values stuff around too much, then all bets are off.

And in the interest of the daughter, I don't like this rush to the alter business. You don't need to compound a mistake by making a bigger mistake. No way should an 18 and 17 year old be encouraged to marry.

Of course, that's the same reaction to Thanksgiving gatherings in my family, too, so...

I sure don't. Not for the Mom, the Dad, the families, and certainly not for the baby.

Republicans seem mighty concerned about the baby while it's in the mother's womb, but they're quick to forget about it once its born.

He pointed out that Palin is on record as saying she would veto any abortion bill including that which allowed it in case of rape or incest.

It was a powerful statement. Good for him.
