At one time they stuck a slice of fresh pineapple in your Dole Whip... But it's still my favorite, I get it eveytime we go.. Norway bakery, mmmmm I love the rice custard cup.. yummy... I'm not sure of the real name... , and France's bakery is not far behind...

Sigh, yes it would be nice. Well, with getting all of our food free, I guess I could splurge and buy a Dole Whip, or one of the other yummy things you guys have talked about. ;)

I have only been to Epcot twice. Growing up, we only went to MK, and then hit other places like Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios.

It wasn't until about 1993 that we went to the three (at the time) Disney parks. I loved Epcot, but my parents and brother weren't crazy about it. None of us liked MGM.

My husband, son and I returned to Epcot in August 2004, the day hurricane Charley hit the resort. We were only in the park for three or four hours, so we only made it through Future World.

So, we haven't experienced the wonderful dining (or snacks) in Epcot! :(

    School Bread
Served at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and Kringla Bakeri of Kafe

    Ingredients:

    .5 qt Water
    3 oz Yeast (dry)
    3.5 oz Sugar
    2.5 oz Butter (melted)
    1 tsp Cardamom
    2 lbs Flour
    1 ea Egg

    Instructions:

Heat water and butter to 95 degrees F. Mix flour, sugar, cardamom, yeast, and egg together for about five minutes until dough is stiff.

Form it like a ball and place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let proof for 45 minutes, or until dough has doubled in size.

Roll the dough out like a sausage and cut it into five ounce pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball and put them on a non-stick sheet pan and let them proof for 30 minutes.

Bake for 15 minutes in 375 degree oven. Let cool.

Mix powdered sugar and water (use small amounts until proper consistency is achieved) to make icing and place in shallow pan.

Form hole in bread using finger. Dip bread in icing (hole side down) and sprinkle with shredded coconut.

Using a pastry tube, squeeze vanilla custard into hole and swirl at top for decoration.

I know, we loved it when we spent a few hours there August 2004. I plan on spending a minimum of two days in EPCOT on our upcoming trip. I was on Soarin' at DCA, but Tyler and Dave haven't been on it, so we'll probably do that a few times, we've never been on TT, I'm not sure we'll do M:S, but I just know there is so much to see and do, that we will be spending a lot of time there.
