Bloona, my reply was brief before as I was accessing LP from my handheld.

Legoland has really grown alot since I worked there (the opening summer, I worked with all the school groups building cars and racing them - great job, but with a 120 mile round trip commute at minimum wage, it felt I was paying Legoland to work there - lasted 6 weeks). They now have some stuff I think Kieran will love:

The 3D theatre, while not Disney standards, it's the best we have in the UK. Everyone loves Miniland. Then the Storybook Ride is lovely and aimed at all ages. He'd get a kick out of driving school, which kids up to the age of 13 can participate. The Dinoround up is fun (like a waltzer without the spinning), the dino trucks are interesting to see huge Dino Lego Models. The Dinocoaster is actually quite scart, more than Space Mountain or Dinorama/Mulholland Madness IMHO. Then there are the jet ski simulators, the MAgic Show and Adventurer's Club, Pirate Falls Log Flume, Spinning Spiders (think Tea Cups) and the Very cool Dragon Coaster - pretty mild coaster, but where else can you see a full size Dragon made of lego.

And later this year, the new Viking Area will open with a rapid ride.

So I think it's definately worth a trip down before Kieran gets too old. And then for Conner, there are tons of additional attractions such as the Helecopters, Boats, his own driving school (ages 3 - 5), the train, puppet shows, the Stunt Show, Ferris Wheel, Carousel, he JCB Diggers, the Fire Station Challenge etc. I used to have a blast when I was there age 21 (but then again you know how young at heart us Baloos are). But I think the bloona family would love it.

I'm pleased you decided to go Dave, the weather definitely perked up over the last couple of days.

Still not great, but better. Friday afternoon was good and sunny!

Of course I'm off to London tomorrow where they forecast rain!!!

    :(

To me, it's the only park in the UK where you can actually enjoy hanging out and soaking up the atmousphere, much more than Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington, Drayton Manor etc. I loved without kids, and even more with. I know all your nieces and nephews would have a blast.

We're on flood watch too where I live. They're afraid that several areas may start to flood as the snowpack melts.

Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful....so I'll just wait for tomorrow.

Beamerdog - I know what you mean. We moved from Central California (where summers can reach the 110's - 120's to a very cold summer in London 1986). All of the Brits looked at us like we were crazy going around in winter coats and hats!!! I think it took me 5 years to warm up!
