As for exposing children to these diffent groups I feel the Bats Day and Gay Day and any other day where a group of people who my child (yes, i'm a parent) might not normally see is a good way to teach diversity. Yes, kids are going to ask questions it is how the parents answer these questions that molds the way children think. So let's step away from people who are "goth" and people who are "gay" for a moment and look at the other diverse groups that attend disneyland and get group rates. There is the tour group of 1000+ Japanese visitors who walk in large groups following a "flagman" to say together. I know the Deaf community has a special day at magic mountain so they might have one at disneyland also. Not to mention all the diverse family renuion's that take place year round. This world is FULL of many diffent types of people, A little more kindness can go a long way. Teach DIVERSITY and see how the world will change. If you are so close minded that you can't teach diversity find out when these groups are holding their events via links listed above and plan around it. Bat's day is one weekend out of the year and so is Gay Day. You can have the park the other 359 days of the year.

I'm all better now and I'm sorry for calling you judgemental. But I have to agree with post 120. We want all these different groups to go to Disneyland. The more money Disney gets the happier they will be and the more likely they will be to keep up our favorite place. One question myinnerpeterpan, do you have any idea how far in advance you can call and ask about unsponsored events at Disneyland? We're planning a trip in May and if there are any big events at all we will change it.

Another nifty thing is if a certain Cast Member is unable to answer a question, they will bend over backwards to find someone who can (unlike the IRS). Also, coming to LP is a wonderful place to get info on DL happenings.

One time I sat on a bench that a Gay person at DL had just been sitting on and when I got up I noticed that some of thier Gayness rubbed off on my skirt. Luckily for me I carry "Shout" wipes and dabbed it. I think I got most of it off. I'm with Myinnerpeterpan %100 on the whole #86 post. I could care less what a persons sexual orientaion is or what color or religion they are when I go to Disneyland. Same thing goes for my everyday life as well. People in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. Theres not a ONE person on this earth that doesnt have soemthing that someone else finds offensive in some way. Get over your pius yourself.

From what I've heard, they don't seem very good at communicating this even to CMs--I think quite a few CMs had no idea what was going on this past weekend. - Disneyland has written standards for appropriate dress, but CMs seem to be reluctant to enforce them. You can see folks dressed inappropriately on almost any weekend during the summer, though there were probably more of them on Batsday. - I saw about as many older women Goths as older men Goths on Sunday. I'm not sure why Darkbeer's photos would show differently.

My ex's mom was married to his father for years and one day she said that she had been seeing a woman and they were in love. It is possible to fall in love with a member of the same sex just as easy as it is to fall for one of the opposite sex. So I dont necessarily thing they "turn" straight. Maybe they found someone that they wanted more.

LOL When you fall in love with someone do you fall for their looks or personality?? What if you were talking to someone on line and you fell for them and come to find out that they are the same sex as you? How would you feel. So yes I beleive it is possible.
