Yeah I was playing it on Medium at my friend's folk's house and although their mouse is wireless, I found it harder to manuver around quickly to each letter compared to the mouse I have here for this laptop. Usually I have my index on the Enter key and my middle finger on the Backspace key, but getting the mouse over to each letter to click on it was a little tough. So I learned the Action Race one depends on how fast you can unscramble words and how quickly you can click each letter. I learned doing it too fast often results in deleting the word you're trying to spell if you click two letters at once, thus in a Medium or Difficult race, it's tough because those other boats catch up quick.

Don't feel bad though about not being able to think of words to spell. My friend's Sister I sent this to, she's a middle school teacher and although she found it enjoyable, she said she too has trouble with scrambled words the second she sees them. I think this is why Easy is best to keep at for awhile, because you get an idea what words to look for to spell with more time to spare since the other boats won't catch up to you as quickly. Other than that, yeah the puzzle one is probably more fun.

And don't worry, if one letter has multiples and one is of a higher value, it automatically uses that one in the word for maximum points. It really surprised me that it did that when I discovered it.

The only problem so far I've really had with the mouse is not the mouse itself, it's when the game begins to slow down I think because of my computer.

I'm still on Difficult in the Action Race. I have to discipline myself and use patience when spelling out each word because like I said doing too fast can cause it to delete entirely, leaving you with not much time to respell it while the other boats catch up (if in the Action Race). Also clicking two letters at once will cause this, so perhaps typing it will be a lot more convenient in more ways than one :)

It's almost like Wheel of Fortune with the letters having "wind value" to them, the colored ones. Say if you get an M worth 3 winds instead of 1, it adds more wind to the word you spell with it, thus pushing your boat further. On Wheel, the more money a letter is worth, the more money a contestant gets per letter available that they chose.

The minute I was getting ready to try it with the keyboard before hitting GO, I thought to myself, "Huh... just spell any word on the keyboard and... wait no, I have to look up at the letters given to see whats available to spell", but then thought it shouldn't be too hard. Just find one then quickly type it out. Then again, my fingers don't seem to get along with laptop keyboards. But so far so good here.

Ok so the test I did was on easy, now I'm going to try difficult.

I was looking forward to sharing some perhaps even more helpful information Saturday, but realized the other day it's not what I thought it was. I'll explain below.

You'll notice the "shuffle" feature between "clear" and "submit" on the left side of the game screen. Turns out the space bar can be used for this. Thing is, at first when I discovered it, all I noticed was that it changed all the letters. I immediately thought it gave me new letters (like the "dump letters" crate/box you come across during the race and puzzle). Then after trying it out some more I realized I had the same letters, just in different order. I had accidently hit it while just finishing a race.

Using the typing as opposed to the mouse, it's kinda like Mavis Beacon all over again my Freshman year in high school. Only this time my typing skills are far better than they were then and also the difference is on Mavis Beacon you typed out I think words already spelled out on the screen.

Another similarity to Wheel of Fortune is whether or not theres a letter available to use for spelling a word. Often times I'll be trying to spell a word til I realize I'm typing a letter that's not available.

Keep at it folks! I tried the puzzle earlier today on difficult - very challenging. It's tough because it's harder to make long words with the letters they give you. The best part though is you can take as long as you need to come up with something.

Thanks again also to FerretAfros, I probably wouldn't have made it that far using the mouse.
