I have ridden public transportation in Cleveland, at college, in Florida, Atlanta, Washington DC, California, etc. And, in none of those instances did I feel "ghetto". I understand your position, but come up with a better, less derogatory, adjective.

Who asked Eisner to make WDW 5 times bigger than what it was when he first took office? Personally, why do we even have to visit a resort where taking busses or driving is a necesity to get around? At least at DLR, TDR, DLRP and HKDLR is still possible to *WALK* (imagine that!) to/from parks and hotels if you *CHOOSE* too. God knows the customer base at WDW could use a bit more walking in their daily routine...

My father worked for a Fortune 500 company and used mass transit, including busses, daily. Walt bought 26,000 acres. Eisner didn't make the property five times bigger. He just built it up as Walt intended to do. Do you think he intended for people to walk around that property? Why the bitterness?

I would much rather ride the bus than have another playground go up....if they spend the money on fancier people movers...then the maintenance issues and lack of new e tickets in MK never get addressed. This trip because my DS,BIL and 2 young nieces were with us, people conked out sooner and they used the mini van to get around-- I stayed much longer for Flower Power shows - and then EMH at whatever park was open that night. I took the buses when i wanted to come home and I have to admit..I really didn;t give a rip that it was a bus. It was clean ( important) - very cool air conditioned ( important this always works) - and the drivers were very courteous. At midnight or 1 AM when I used them...that is really all I wanted.. so while I understand any desire to make all of WDW more magical...I think there are more pressing needs that the buses....

Add to that if a bus breaks down you just get another bus. If a monorail breaks down you would tie up the whole line and suddenly it is back to busses anyway. I know they have been looking at light rail as an option but that again leads to multiple stops which would make the commute time as long, if not longer, than the busses.

Also as I have stated earlier the Cast Members who drive those buses are great and entertaining. Try finding that on a city bus.

I got no idea ... of course I also have no idea why they'd waste their time with something of such 'little consequence' or why they'd assume they have knowledge about someone when all they have is a few tidbits of information. But what do I know? ;-)

I'd rather find out about a problem before the Mayor does.

I get the feeling that some bus drivers have the NY taxi cab syndrome and intentionally take the long way or simply get lost.

The parks will only be as good as the designers and builders who create them. So "fixing" WDI is the prerequisite to "fixing" the parks themselves.
