Yes, I was being negative. I have positive and negative things to say about The Walt Disney Company and WDI. It's wonderful that this young person wants to work at WDI. However, his starry eyes shouldn't blind him to other opportunities. The Walt Disney Company is an organization that has created some of the most beautiful works of art our world has seen. It has also done a lot of crappy stuff, including some things that were downright unethical and wrong. It's great to talk about the positives, but you can't forget the negatives or reality. "I know people who work at Pixar and they LOVE it there." WDI isn't Pixar, and Pixar hasn't had time to accumulate the amount of drama WDI has. It's a younger company, of course, but there has been some seedlings of drama there.

My church for one, my kids' school, my own home has drama sometimes. That's life.

Her favorite is Elton Brown though because she also loves science so the science of food is just up her ally.

I did not experience any significant drama in the foods department. Others have written quite extensively on the Bruce Gordon saga. http://mb.laughingplace.com/Ms...-P-1.asp

But he was aware of the politics of WDI ... indeed it is pretty common knowledge that, for lack of a better term, he was thrown under the bus by Tony Baxter yet they remained friends to the end. Anyway ... I do think WDI and Disney as a whole is a very difficult company to work for ... I never have, but twice I had real opportunities at a fairly high level, including helping open a new resort ... and well, it just wasn't right for me. That said to get back to the original post, it is always a VERY GOOD DAY when Tony and John are in the parks together because they are constantly focusing on improving things (and for the right reasons) ... so maybe you were out there when something very important went down and you don't even know it.

I asked one of the other Imagineers who walked by (I didn't recognise him but his name was Don if anyone knows who he is? I asked what he helped design but he wouldn't tell me lol) and he said they were just riding the rides! Something they do every so often apparently.

Bruce got screwed over plain and simple (although it certainly isn't that simple and there are things I know that I just can't post) ... but he wasn't the first or the last. Hell, I always thought that 'give it five years and he'll be back or consulting for them and making more money' ... I never saw him dying. But you shouldn't lose faith in your own dreams no matter what ... I have had my share of adversity in life and I'll never give up chasing my dreams until my last breath. Just not in me ... <<Just as an outside observer, as a fan, I am still deeply bitter about it and angry. It's even worse than he's dead and can't speak for himself now.>> That much is for sure.
