The long answer is... Yes, but it's not exactly the way it was before they changed it in '97. The pirate balancing on the barrels in the Arsenal Scene isn't back, mainly because the wall to Sparrow's new Lift Hill Scene takes up space where he used to sit. There's one turntable in the Chase Scene that isn't being used, and they flip-flopped the turntable that has the chickens chasing each other in that scene. The Conquistador guys they added to the Fort in '00 are still there, but their new dialogue makes a lot more sense and it's much easier to hear. Those were WOM figures that weren't added in '97, but came along in '00.

We're doing a few hours of Cast Member Previews on Thursday and Friday morning, before it gets zipped up tight for Saturday. A lot of Attractions CM's have already been on it, but there are thousands of CM's from other departments that haven't ridden it yet. I'm sure there will be plenty of online reports once we do a few hours of CM Previews on Thursday morning and Thursday night.

All I can say is that they look great!

    I can't wait to ride!

That's one check in the minus column for the refurb, then.

    Everything else sounds great.

It featured hundreds of AA figures in clever vignettes and fun scenes.

When World of Motion closed, many of the AA figures made their wat to the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' in Disneyland.

    Here's some scenes I remember:

    - between the auction scene and chasing the girls scenes. A wide-faced pirate is sitting on a bench with a basket of fruit -- a cartoony horse is reacting to the fruit.

    - At the end, as your boat heads up the final lift hill, there were two guy grunting and groaning to get some treasure up the hill.

Those were the two scenes that had, in my opinion misplaced characters that used to appear in 'World of Motion.'

Misplaced, in that the 'World of Motion' characters were either too caricatured [the guy with the fruit and his horse] or too realistic [the guys pulling the treasure].

To me, 'Pirates' has a very subtle design to the characters -- that isn't quite real, and isn't quite the over-the-top caricature.

    Hope this helps.

Did world of motion charecters go anywhere else? I know the sea serpent ended up at DCA...and I heard they replaced the dog with the keys in both the disneyland and florida version of potc with newer dog AA's from World of motion.

I wonder why they didnt put the new WOL scenes/aa's into floridas since it was so much closer rather then shiping them out west?

    Really?

Man, I thought he was pretty much the signature character for that scene!
