Don't think any of us know what Walt would do except for the fact he would not tolerate it being unmaintained. Sometimes simpler is better and believe the first animatronics used for the Tiki room juat like Mr Lincoln have a place to stay.

I can understand keeping the Tikis in Disneyland. It was the first AA show. But that's not the case in the MK. No history wrapped up in them. They can go if there's something good waiting in the wings.

By that same logic, you could kill off our HM, our Pirates, our BTMR...

I saw Walt show me the Tiki Room on TV before my first DL visit in 1968. When I got there I couldn't wait to see it. (I do think the DL preshow has always been better than the WDW version.) The next year - in my second visit - the Haunted Mansion was on my must see list. I first saw CBJ on the Sunday night Disney TV show and when it appeared in WDW I also HAD to see it. Today, I still go every trip, though a new show would be appreciated. And it is still a relatively popular attraction. Of course, I have waited on line for 3 hours to see the Carousel of Progress ... at the 1964 World's Fair. It was VERY popular there. Though I agree that the final scene MUST be updated, I would be very unhappy to see it go away.

But comparing the most popular rides in the park to a show that most people skip over is like comparing a hang glider to a fighter jet.

Refurb it. Hype it. People won't skip it, then.
