I got to last year, i was even one of a few people who had a tv spot with john o hurley but it never aired in florida and so i never got to see if that made it in to the parade.

I worked the Jungle Cruise, got as many hours as I could handle, but didn't cut into anyone else's time/money. The Fall is probably the quietest of the four seasons. Major crowds at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Merchandise is nice in that you won't be exposed to the elements, particularly in the beginning when you face the tail end of the Florida summer. If you are "lucky" you might catch a hurricane while you are there! You will meet a lot of great people, have a nice addition to your resume and have a lot of fun too. Enjoy!

Originally Posted By wahooskipper I treasure my picture because back then I had hair. Actually, I don't know if they still do it but we had a "picture day" of sorts. We got hustled in the MK early one morning and they pulled the representatives from each school to have a picture taken in front of the castle. There are two others in the picture with me and Mickey. Nobody else to be seen We were standing in front of the "garden" that now has the partners stature so the castle was framed perfectly behind us. I DO cherish that picture since it is pretty unique.

Merch wasn't my first choice, but the more I'm thinking about it, I'm actually really glad I got this role. wahooskipper and lesmisfan: I'm definitely going to have to take lots of pictures--this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Wahoo, that picture really does sounds amazing. How many people can say that they have a picture with just them, a friend, and Mickey in front of the castle? Only celebrities and you!

Again, having Disney on your resume will open a lot of doors to interviews that you may have not gotten. It won't win you the job in most cases...but getting in the door is the battle these days.

Originally Posted By christiemarsh88 Sure, Kira! Everyone else: just a warning...This post is going to be long! During the interview, they start off with a bunch of yes/no questions. Most are just your typical stuff, and a lot of them you already answered on your application. But I guess they just want to double check. Questions were things like "Are you available to work the entire session?" "Are you eligible to work in the U.S.?" Stuff you can easily answer. Now, beware: I didn't mark off Quick Service Food and Beverage on my sheet, but I guess that's a role they need a lot of. So she said, "I noticed you didn't check off QSFB on your role sheet--would you be willing to do QSFB?" A friend of mine said yes, and that's where they placed her. So really think about it! If you don't want to do QSFB, just say no. It's okay! Then she asked me why I wanted to do the CP, and about my best and worst work experience. Next she asked me what my top three choices were for roles. I said PhotoPass, Attractions, and Merchandise. So she asked me questions about each of those. For Photopass, she asked me how I would sell more photo packages to people. For attractions, she asked me what I would do if a child wanted to ride Space Mountain, but was too short. And for Merchandise, she asked me what I would do if a guest wanted an item that we didn't carry in our store. From what I read online, these are pretty standard questions for these roles. What roles are you hoping for? Are you interviewing for Fall?

So don't be nervous--I'm sure you'll do great!
