That would be first choice, but if I don't land an audition then I would def. want character host, costuming etc. If it has to do with their entertainment, I am all up for it. Second choice would be going for the "plaid" roles. Guest services, tour host etc. I didn't see a specific role listed for tour host on the sheet but I will ask about it. It doesn't hurt to ask! I've grown up in and around the parks/company, so I'm pretty familiar with it. But of course what LPer isn't? haha! Third, I would probably wind up with is retail. I worked at the Disney Store for nearly 2 years, so LOTS of past experience in that area =) Thanks again! Your response has helped calm a few jitters!

Most of the threads are for WDW, but I'm sure if you started a DL thread, there would be plenty of people with answers/advice/stories for you. I'm also christiemarsh88 on there, so if you see me, say hi!

It looked like a sweatshirt that I've seen only the cast members wearing at the park. What are the odds of that?! I'm taking it as a good omen lol!

The interviewer asked me if I was currently enrolled in classes (I knew that if this came up I would be doomed). I was NOT able to take classes (spring semester which is still on going) due to work. It's the first semester since high school that I HAVE NOT had classes. I plan on enrolling in summer classes, but registration does not begin until April 28th. A week too late, as they are in their last leg of filling positions right now. I brought up this situation only because I did not want to get accepted and then have them find out that I was NOT enrolled and have them boot me from the program on a bad note. I figured it was best to be honest up front about it. I explained all of this to her, and that I had first heard of the program just recently (I learned about it from this thread actually), and that I was scrambling to get my information in because I KNEW that I had to take part in the program. I had no knowledge that there was such a program before this. The interviewer was bummed because she really wanted to ask me about my job experience working at the disney store. She did encourage me to re-apply for spring session (I really wanted fall because of the holiday times being my absolute favorite), and that means I will now be returning to classes in the fall. Definetly not something I wanted to do. I wanted to get out of this town and on my own and feel that I am fully ready for it. It's just not my time I guess. But thank you christie for all your help! I wish you the very best in your program! Be sure to come back and fill us all in on your experiences. I want to e-live through your experience haha! I'll be here cheering you on from the side lines =)

Originally Posted By Kira Thanks guys =) I don't want to hijack your topic TOO much christie I just got off the phone with one of my old managers at the disney store to see what kind of hours they would have open for the summer. The one manager whos on duty said their understaffed right now but she wasnt sure what kind of hours would be open. Ill have to call back tomorrow when the general manager is there (she has already begged me to come back and would hire me in a heart beat). It's all a matter of whether I can get enough hours to make it worth my while since I would have to commute nearly an hour too and from for each shift. So my options now are to possibly work disney store over the summer (retail, I swore I'd never go back to retail..bleh, but it's a job & it's disney I guess haha), register for a class in the fall, and then reapply for the spring program. I will probably stick around with coaching my guard in the fall still, but if I get into the program I'll be gone in no time. It's all of the waiting in anticipation and hoping that kills me.I've already been rejected by disneyland resort before, this making the 3rd time. The past rejections were for face character and aladdin auditions. Never made it past the first round...this time I didn't even make it past the first interview question LOL. C'est la vie! I definitely won't give up though =) Wahoo, were you a part of the disneyland or disney world program? If it was disneyland, did you have a good experience with it? I've read a mix of reviews on it. So noooow back to christie! I hope you're celebrating girl haha. Are you keeping a vlog or blog at all about your experience? I've seen a bunch of them on youtube, I'd love to subscribe if you are!
