Work pays for Disneyland trips! Don't book March too soon, though... We probably won't discuss it until after December. This year's birthday visit was a last-minute, WONDERful suggestion by Mr. Alice.

Where the bathroom mirror should have been hanging over the sink, there was nothing but cracked and peeling paint revealing the drywall underneath. Just one horror story, but there are a lot of them out there - even from people WITH reservations, but no recommendations ahead of time. The Candy Cane Inn is great, but I've never booked it with less than about 2-3 weeks notice for the off season. For busy periods, we book WAY in advance.

Usually I always book months in advance...but we lucked out! Ya never know!!! Yeah!!! ºoº

Would you recommend Deluxe over Standard to have the extra space to move around (even though we wouldn't need rollaways)? We wouldn't be spending a great deal of time in the rooms. Are the Standards in a preferable location? Since there's only a $10 difference between Standard & Deluxe, the money isn't an issue (although w/ 2 rooms for 5 nights that would add up to $100 + tax... hmmm, a nice meal). Just wondering what you regulars prefer. And how about Premium? Does anyone love Premium? Breakfast delivered does sound nice as opposed to waiting until everyone is ready head out the door, especially if they deliver those iced muffins you all rave about. Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

Hint - if you want to bring breakfast back to the room there is a little plasitic tray in the room, take it with you to carry your food back more easily.

The space in the standard room is fine. We did have more storage space in the deluxe room with a cupboard under the sink area and a closet with a door. Standard rooms are 360sf and deluxe are larger by 40sf. I think the deluxe rooms are a little further back than the standard rooms. That's what I was told when I requested a deluxe room on the first floor near the front of the motel. I ended up right by the laundry room and vending machines. I didn't think I would like that location because I thought it would be too noisy. I ended up really liking the location, and being by the laundry room was very convenient since I was staying there for a week. I've never stayed in a premium room. The extra cost doesn't seem worth it to me.
