I think that they should get rid of one of the parking lots thats taking up so much space, and build some kind of themed parking garage over an already existing disney parking lot. If your gonna keep paradise pier, with all the neat things it has, then you might want to rename it, instead of completely redesigning it. It still has to have something to do with california. OR you could keep the name, and take that parking lot that we got rid of, and add stuff directly pertaining to California's history such as Route 66 etc.

Frankly, I don't live in California, so I don't really know that much about it. I would love to see other people satisfied, but I have many many many fond fond fond memories of DCA, and I would definetly not have it torn down. Besides, people on three day trips or longer would have to spend the whole time in Disneyland, while the park was redesigning. Sitting inside and atop the big C and A of "CALIFORNIA" outside the park is totally uninteresting if you can't actually go in the park.

Off the shelf attractions look cheap, because they are cheap, and degrades Disney's reputation with the public.

The Pier's lake is void of ANY attractions, and not designed for shows, or viewing of shows. A big waste of space.

Route 66 ended up looking like a joke of off road attractions.

This area doesn't need make up, painting, or placemaking. This area needs demolishing, reimagineering, and then building to impress. A total re-do.

Pave it over and turn it back into a parking lot like John Hench wanted?

OK, and then lets just call it Disneys Mexico Adventure, I know I want to spend $70 to get away for the day and loose my self in a recreation of Hispanic LA. After all LA is just so so far away from Disneyland!

Olvera Street was built as a tourist interest place in the 30's, and has grown to include some actual Mexican culture since then. Either way, I don't see how they can avoid the "well I could just drive a little and get to the real thing" argument ever, other than saying that all the things are a lot closer together and slightly stylized. But the exact same thing could be used for Epcot's World Showcase, but people seem to have jut gotten over that problem.

Why not add the Rockin Roller Coaster, an Indian Jones show or even a Pirates show based on the new movies, or any unique show for that matter? They need a fireworks show for the evening. Also they would possibly benefit from keeping the park open after Disneyland closes at 12am. If DCA stayed open until 2am it could draw some of the exiting crowd. But like I said earlier, they need some more big rides like a "Cars" test track on Route 66. Even a new Star Wars ride would work. They need to totally get ride of the fishermans warf area and a Bugs land which would free up some room for an expansion of the Hollywood part of the park. In any case DCA needs a lot of improvement before it can even be recognized as an entertainment attraction.
