    My husband would say Seattle. I think I might prefer the CA Bay Area, but don't actually know. I grew up in LA and SD, so I will always love them and the proximity to DL, but I can't afford the coastal places I'd want to live. I will NEVER go back to eastern WA.

    If we end up in Germany, I like some parts of Frankfurt and Munich, and the Hannover area is growing on me.

    The housing costs are a little lower in some of the outlying areas. For example, I grew up about 40 minutes north of Seattle in Arlington and the housing prices are better there than in a lot of the state. It is the same in a lot of the smaller towns.

    I would stay away from California. The insurance,taxes and registering a car is expensive. My DH wants to move to Zionsville,Indiana. I live in Northern Nv. and it is not too bad. Being close to Tahoe is nice especially since you like to ski. Disneyland is an 8 hour drive. :)

    WDWdreamin I know what you mean about snow. I lived in Truckee long enough to get my share of it. The nice thing about Reno is we get enough to enjoy and it melts by the afternoon. I have not shoveled once since moving here. We can always visit Truckee/Tahoe if we have the desire to go play in the snow. :)
